You're right, 45 books is a big deal to them. When I was in I would sell books. Or try to. It was depressing. If I sold even one it would assuage my guilt over not producing. That said, I was completely not impressed with myself. At one point I was in a talk with a staff member of my little org. She was the PES. I shared with her about how I thought selling 1 book was nothing. She lit up, blazing at me, apparently very surprised and in total disagreement. "Selling one book is a BIG deal!", she exclaimed, adding, as she saw my sceptical look, "A VERY big deal!". She seemed amazed that I had shared that. As if I had said that I'd won an Oscar or something and it was no big deal. She strongly disagreed, in a very animated way. Frankly, I still wasn't convinced but her reaction had been so spontaneous that I entertained the possibility that she was right. I certainly believed that SHE believed that selling ONE book in 4 hours was a "big deal". The bar was pretty low then; I can only imagine how low it is now. Or maybe there isn't even a low standard anymore. Or any standard.

I drove past the Int Base in Hemet yesterday. They have some good looking new buildings there. I did not see a soul from Hwy 79.
LRH said " The Public knows us by our MEST.
I know that they ARE MEST.
That is all they care about. Nothing spiritual.
    Mulah, Mulah, Mulah.
The Donald is more theta than they are and as likely to get them up the "Bridge", assuming there even IS one these days.
One of the biggest wins in Scn was the look on Joan Heller's face when she saw me at AOLA 2 years after she thought I had died of AIDS. And she was the OTVIII Review Auditor (and a very good one) when she audited me. Her TRs were undoubtedly passed by RTC. Her meter found out that I was dying before anyone in the Church suspected it.
And a lot of you think that the meter doesn't even work. You wish it did not work sometimes. In the hands of a fool nothing can work.

"If the numbers come from $cientology, they are probably lies."
Truer words can't be spoken, it seems, as they ARE consumed with reporting ever-rising numbers, and have flexible-enough 'ethics' to justify making the numbers up out of whole cloth. As long as their "stats" are up, they can't be investigated, theoretically, so aren't going to be caught in their lying -- unless someone actually LOOKS and sees that the results of those "stats" aren't there.
Which is a long-about way of leading into the observation that very few of those currently calling themselves scientologists take any effort to correlate the reports by Dwarfenführer® with what they SEE in any orgs that they happen to pass by.
In that direction all observations lead to disillusion and depression; eventually to FREEDOM from that so-seductive trap.

I suggest you stop drinking the KoolAid. Perth may have printed 200,000 fliers. THey simply gave them to people and told them to put them in mailboxes. Most people reporterd they did some distribution. Most of them are sitting in boxes in people's houses, or they went right into the dumpster. They are now begging for money so they can DO "paid distribution." It's cost them nothing so far.

The city you stole the 1996 Olympics from (Melbourne) had a full car park when i went past the other week - similar size parking lot to Atlanta (perhaps only a tad less). I havent been in for a couple of years at least but from the outside it looks like Melbourne is doing ok (not great just ok - simmering away).

As for Perth Org - unfortunately for them they are now in lock down therefore they won't be getting any public in for at least 5 days. At present this is a short term lock down but if more cases are found then lock down will continue. They must have a fair bit of money if they are distributing 200,00 flyers. That alone would cost 20k ? and is a huge amount to distribute considering the city they line in. At a guess that would probably equate to 10% of the city receiving a a flyer !!! or more than 10% of households! These guys mean business !

COVID may actually be responsible for driving some people to these bogus ‘stress test’ setups. People have been in lockdown, they’re trapped at home with the kids (saw a video on tv the other night of a guy going off on his local school board because they refused to reopen the schools for another 6 months. He went off not because he was a COVID denier but because he was pushed to the breaking point having to actually be home with his own kids 24/7), they’re under restrictions on movement and freedoms and that causes stress. Then the restrictions get lifted a little and they go the mall and there’s someone there testing you’re ‘stress levels’ for free. Then after they tell you how messed up you are they sell you the BOOK (dmsmh). 45 books in 7 days isn’t great but to Scn in Perth that’s HUGE. I have to agree with someone above that I feel like those numbers may be a little doctored. Like maybe making some of the public Scn come by and purchase books. Either way I seriously doubt they will get even one person to come in via these book sales.

They are not telling people they are Scientologists either. I thought most people knew that Dianetics was Scientology but obviously they don’t. Then when they go home and Google it they find out they’ve been deceived. I saw a Facebook post that was reposted in the comment section over at Ortega’s blog where a mother and minor child had obviously taken a stress test at a fair. A couple of days go by when the minor child starts getting text bombed by Org Staff. Staff KNEW this was a minor child. They mentioned the child’s mother in the text. The mother texted them back and told them to stop texting her minor child. She also stated that she didn’t know that they were affiliated with the Church of Scientology when she bought the book and that they never mentioned that fact during the time they were at the kiosk. The mother stated she would be returning the books to the Church for refunds. Needless to say no one texted her back. I wonder if she got that refund.

If one is so proud of their ‘church’ then why try to hide it? Why go through all that patter to sell books, which is supposed to be the stepping stone to get new meat to the Org, if you aren’t going to tell people who those books represent? It’s not like it was in the 50’s...we have the internet now. Info at your fingertips. Scn is going to have to evolve or die. You’re looking at a multi billion dollar business being run by a high school dropout...and it shows.

Thank you slot MW.
I agree with what you say especially at the end. Personally I have no hatred or grudge towards DM or scn in general. But having been staff for 15 years it pisses me off that many staff especially in SO are still deluded and exploited with lies (which at this point even DM knows they are) and forced to live a life that will not give (and never did) that achievement for which they are there.
I think that if over the years the cult had done real social and charitable activities they would have earned it not only in PR but also as human conscience. But isn't per policy to do that.
Do well.
