I agree with your diagnosis Aquamarine. The RCS knows this and capitalises on it. They count on people not having time/access to look at the full reference, or the other references. They make people think (as I used to think) that it was unthinkable that their ethics could be anything less than perfect. A fundamental stable datum reinforced by the make wrong on me, and getting sent to ethics for small things. All that crap is what makes this blog (and others like it) so important. First the fundamental stable datum has to be wiggled a little before the lies can be yanked out like a rotten tooth. But then, once the false datum gone, then I agree with Odd Thomas – it is mind boggling that intelligent scns cannot see the ship is going to sink and take them down with it.

That and the constant state of fear sleep deprivation and North Korean brainwashing techniques which are in daily use. 🙂

Well it does seem that the more “processing” they get the stupider they become. Maybe hypnosis is not such a good tool to”wake” someone up?

Intelligence and training can lose a lot of relevance and power when a being is operating off an uninspected fixed idea as his fundamental stable datum.

Mike, totally true. . I personally know one Clubbed Seal, who if/when shown this D/A pack will swallow it whole and probably not even read it but simply take it as fact on the urgings of the correct RCS “Opinion Leaders”.

Aside from the fact that I am optimistic by nature, after re-reading the D/A pack and all of the posts here on it , I join those who opine that this is evidence of real trouble in Ideal Org Fundraising Land.

If Ideal Morgue fundraising stats were trending in an over-all acceptable way it would make no sense for the RCS to respond directly to anything Marty and Mike and other “squirrels” would say on their blogs.

See, this is why I have to make jokes sometimes, because otherwise I’d be really depressed at the thought that there are people still in who will accept this and stay in the fold.

I understand how someone without any education, can be made to believe the most incredible things, by twisting the truth and using force and fear to insert ideas into their own thinking. But how do you get well educated, processed and trained individuals to act like morons, with such regularity? I’m not saying it as a put down, but as a clinical fact. A moron, having an IQ in the 60-80 band, is not expected to be able to think much of anything through to a conclusion. He’s expected to act, based on learned responses, with little to no reasoning involved. But a Scientologist?

I know many of the people out there. I know they are not inherently stupid; they have the sense, common and otherwise, to think things through. Yet they stand in the middle of the road, with a child’s sense of wonderment, believing the truck will never hit them. Yikes!
