I don't know how the Chicago org bought that building in the south Loop, since their building fund was no more than mid six figures back when. Somehow they managed to buy a building that once purchased, they couldn't even begin to re-model it except to perform some demolition and remove the rubbish.

The Celebrity Center, when it was in Des Plaines near the airport, would have 20 to 25 students in it on a weekday night! Dave Fagen wrote in his blog that in the last 5 years he was an Academy supervisor, there was a single Class V auditor and 2 or 3 Solo NOTs auditors made. *IN 5 YEARS!*

The last time i saw one of the org exec's, they told me they were running a fund raiser for building reno's. I asked if LRH had not said that orgs weren't suppose to run bake sales?

Fascinating and sad read. I imagine these Ambassadors are under tremendous pressure to help and the few of them that are helping are going to burn out like the last lots of OTs who did what they are doing and then realized they weren't as OT as they were made to believe they were.

Things were just as bad back in the days of the early 80's and then again early 90's. The only difference is that the church was not pushing social programs or OTs to get out there, even though some did and tried their darnedest, despite the amount of work and opposition they would meet.

What is clear from the OT Ambassador stats is that the orgs are probably doing just as poorly. I worked in several of the EUS orgs and it was so reminiscent of my days back then to see how little was ever accomplished in the interim. Yet it's exciting to know that things are decaying despite all the church puts into expansion and fighting the enemies. The church itself didn't have money back then to even do ads or have buildings - and now it seems like things are just coasting off of past monies donated without any inflow of money coming in. Good signs as far as I am concerned. These stats confirm that an implosion is occurring. I hope these 'OTs' come to their senses soon and exit the back door of an ungrateful church forever.

I think DollarMorgue answered well. Disagree with the reality of one's financial condition and al thoughts that countered the intention to getting the Benk's money.

I'm sure you are correct about where Matt Hines got his money because the rest of his practice is too small to have that kind coming in.

But it was long wasn't it?
I see Allan Kellman is still throwing away his money. He is a lawyer with offices about a block away from the Detroit Ideal Morgue.
I saw mention of the "Jacquez family", but I wondered if it was a typo, because Kellman works in the "Jacques" law firm. Leonard Jacques, deceased, was a legendary Detroit maritime/admiralty attorney, and I would hate to see that he, or any of his survivors have fallen prey to Kellman and the scam.

Hello Odd,

You made a valuable point about the surreptitious public needing to read the information posted here.

I was one of those public "surreptitiously" scanning the web for years before I would post a comment about my experiences in the CoS. I was so emotionally and psychologically enslaved. I strongly believe that public are checking in here and getting affirmation of what they know to the core of their being, is wrong.

I think Mike understands the power of communication and knows exactly what he is doing.

Someone tried to make the Detroit report sound as good as they could, but even the pathetic stats are twisted and the report is full of lies and written with the intention to make you think much is going on, when in fact it isn't. If you know how they arrived at the conclusions of this report, you would know that the report is twisted and false. I can see how the statements are twisted to make a person think better of the Org than it is, and to cover up the true state of affairs. But, even with the intention to write the report full of twisted claims, the report is pathetic. Recoveries? Check how many people who were recovered are actually still on lines. The people recovered that I know of were only there long enough to see that nothing has changed and it is getting worse, and they left again. An accurate report would be to say how many people were recovered who actually got onto a service and are still taking a service and are actually still there. Last view of the academy, literally no one was in it. What little auditing is going on, people go to a separate field auditor in Canada to get auditing, so even that auditing isn't being delivered at the Org. The report is not true and even more pathetic than stated.

Thanks for this info Mike.

As difficult as it is to wade through this informational nightmare, it's exactly what needs to be published. Not so much for those who frequent this blog on a regular basis, but for those who surreptitiously join us from time to time. They need this type and quantity of information, because one never knows what piece of data will finally breakthrough their defenses. What dire, but realistic description of Org life will finally push a fence-sitter to the other side.

I personally needed a volume of firsthand accounts 2-3 years ago for me to see a clear enough picture of where the Church had fallen to. I was long time staff and senior management. I knew a lot and had been sufficiently numbed to not react to much of what I was reading and hearing. But when a preponderance of firsthand accounts came through, I knew I was at a crossroads. I knew the time had come to accept that the group I had loved and wanted so much to help was dying and I needed to say goodbye. All that was left were the memories, a few coffee cups and a framed picture of LRH.

Keep putting these up, Mike. I think I just heard another lost soul fall into our camp.

This makes me wonder... If an Org fails after they have purchased a building and is forced to sell the building to pay off taxes and other liabilities, is the remainder of the funds still for local use? i.e. to rent an Org space or buy a cheaper building? I can see Miscavige salivating to just confiscate the funds (Finance Police style) and blame the local Orgs for the failure. He could tell them that they can now come to an advanced Org to get serviced but they are just too downstat to have an Org. This scenario could prolong the death spiral for quite a while.

Yup! I believe I used to see examples of this during my junior high days, when they'd role the projector in to the class room and we'd have to watch 45 minutes of eye-opening mayhem in South America and Africa. Parasites the size of small chihuahuas eating away some poor soul's insides -- all in black and white.

Accurate assessment of the dissipation of our Church, both physically and spiritually.

That is so well put in a graphic image way. While reading the various reports, it was like one of two things at play... 1. "maybe if we just act like this is all great news no one will notice that these stats are complete shit." or 2. "I'm so far into my apathy that I don't care or notice that the stats are complete shit. "
