It’s what’s changed my mind about the How……..now it’s about getting to the “still ins” and getting more great people to speak out !

I could not get anything the whole weekend. The posts were there but I could not see any comments. Finally it started working Minday letting me see comments made on Saturday and Sunday’s blog. I had to re-subscribe today anyway because no blogs was coming through after Sunday. Loved Tuesday’s program. It was enough to boggle the mind. I guess that is point the church is trying to make.

windermama, thanks for being willing to go out and do some information gathering. It really helps when we get current information about what is actually going on at the locations, even just hints about the number of people and amount of activity, and in the case of missions whether they are even open at all.

I believe that graffiti citation dates back several years to when their “ideal” building was still empty and awaiting renovation, and they were actually operating out of another location. If they are in trouble with the city since they occupied their “ideal” building, that would be interesting news.

I suggest being very careful about engaging with them, unless you’re used to dealing with similar situations such as the religious people who come knocking on doors in pairs, or strong-arm salespeople. You are unlikely to sway a true believer with anything you say, so it may best just to stick to information gathering. My favorite subterfuge is to pretend I’m looking for something Christian Science, or a different address (look in Google, or drive down the road, and find something like a bank that has an address with some of the same digits in it), excuse my mistake and then leave after having had a chance to look around briefly; if there’s a comfortable opening it may be possible to ask a bit about what’s going on there, before begging off to return to the hunt for Mary Baker Eddy or change for a hundred….

Oh, and be aware that since Scientology monitors these forums and can act on information gathered with surprising paranoia, tthe org staff might even be warned to be on the lookout for someone taking pictures or asking too many questions. If that possibility bothers you at all, just wait a couple of days and they will likely have forgotten about it in light of some new crisis (by Thursday, they will be frantic over the week’s “stats”).
