I was shocked at what I saw at those conferences. Most of the attendees were parents, siblings, friends who were hurting so much because their loved one was trapped in a cult. My sister-in-law had joined Jehovah’s Witnesses which then lead me to those conferences to learn how I can help her.

The Sceintologists that were at those conferences must have been the “SS” of Scientology. They walked the halls of the hotel, rode the elevators – confronting and harrassing family members. During a speech by a former Scientologist who spoke in such a moving way, apologizing for what she had done to family members, the Scientologists in the room heckled and screamed “LIAR” “F***ING LIAR”.

The fire alarm was pulled two nights in a row at 2:00 AM. Hundreds of customers had to wake up and come to the lobby. Who was standing there laughting and grining? Scientologists.

On the day I checked out of the hotel there was total chaos. The were Scientolgists everywhere. They we yelling at guests, taking photos and videos and causing total confusion. A young Scientologist, probably not much older than 16 held a hugh video camera into my face. I said and did nothing.

The worse was when a former Scientologist that I had met at lunch was in line in front of me checking out. The angry, mean-spirited Scientologists surround him. They screamed in his face. Actually screaming “you are going to die without us” and “your family is doomed for taking you away from us”. The poor guy was shaking. I finally spoke up and said “hey – back off – give this young man a break”.

What kind of religion would do this? Cults are a human rights violation.

Mike I cannot applaud you enough for all that you are doing. Understanding that you were a top executive in this incideous cult but decided to tell your story and help other says to me that you are courageous and are willing to truly help the victims of cults. I am also so impressed with Leah Remini for being public about this important human rights issue. The two of you are doing great things in helping those that are truly hurting. You are both heros.

I am a UK citizen ignorant of Scientology but just wanted to say I have been watching all the series shown on our TV (now into s3 ep 10). I can’t begin to understand how anybody ever got sucked into this cult but can understand the bravery and tenacity of those who managed to leave. Please keep going for all those who are still incarcerated and cannot see the light. It is incredibly important for people to see the truth xx

Her actions show she has learned the real truth of scamatology. Hurting those around you is required to be even moderately successful in the Sea Arghh.

Valerie, the guaranteed way for scientology to fail is for the peons to do EXACTLY what their führer told them to do the last time he opened his mouth.
Except that the fails are so consistently mind-bogglingly spectacular, I might chalk them up to constant inebriation, BUT they’re too consistently of the same pattern and follow “Bolivar” too closely.
