Deadbeats and their fellow staff enablers, who justify everything with the lame-ass excuse that being on staff covers all exchange necessary.
Staff! The all purpose cleanser of all sins.

Thank you for understanding all the emotion I went through at the time. As it turned out, he was on staff at LA Org at the time and he couldn’t pay it back, not from his “paycheck” (what a laugh) and not from going in session to recall where he hid the stolen money. I was most mad that he never told me in the first place where he was going to get this money to repay the loan and I would not have lent it to him had I known what his plan was.
But to add insult to injury, the Chaplain at my org got involved cuz he said I was enturbulating him on post when I asked for the money. She said to me that he is on staff and overwhelmed and his exchange is in by being on staff (ha!) and that because of that I should not expect to be paid back. She said he can give you a few of the R and D volumes as payment. I said no way do I want any R and D volumes, that was not our agreement and I want my money. She just forced them on me and said we’re done, debt is collected. I”m sure since she was on staff herself, she sided with him over me, what with the mutual out ruds on public parishoners. Imagine my surprise when years after that I saw him in the OT VI courseroom. I wanted to walk over to him and say give me my money. But I bit my tongue and let it go.

And, yes, on the face of it its funny, and it would be funny in an RB comic, definitely.

But I’m thinking if it happened to me I wouldn’t be laughing, I’d be furious, and I’m sure you were furious at the time so its not funny at all, actually.

Yes, it was. Too bad really because I liked her. The pressure to keep her stats up for the week forced her to pull income from the following week (by an hour) to prevent her from being assigned a lowered condition and, possibly, other punishment. I am sure that happens with other staff with the result of getting behind for the next week. I got started in scientology a very long time ago when I heard that Hubbard talked about exteriorization with full perception, and it was something I was able to do at the age of 8 but lost it after describing my experience to my mother who invalidated it with my agreement. My goal with scientology was to recover that. Was not a hidden standard, I voiced that everywhere, in or out of session and at the examiner. It was different then. Made many friends who possessed amazing abilities. I never felt inseparable from scientology or any person, therefore, I have never suffered as many here have. I left twice with a 17-year gap in between. When Miscavige took over, everything went to shiit and is not likely to recover. John Atack prepared a document back in 1984, declaring Scientology leader David Miscavige a “suppressive person” — the church’s version of excommunication and was sent to every org and mission.

Thank you for sharing this, Peabody. The fact that she was going to take it from your account for someone else, a large amount, and then have it back within an hour, that is a testament to how
desperate these registrars were. They lived and died by their stats cuz it all came down from the top. Hy Levy said the pressure to bring in more and more money was so intense it made them ill or in fear. So with that kind of stress it is no wonder they get cancer. Was it Enid you’re speaking of?

I was told by an AOLA registrar that she charged my credit card on Thursday after 2:00 PM (the end of the week for stats) $15,000 dollars for payment for another scientologist’s bridge. She told me that the money would be returned to me by 3:00 PM. I told her that if the money was not returned by 3:00 PM that day I would have my credit card company rip the funds from AOLA’s account and that I would notify the police of the theft. Then she would have to deal with David Miscavige personally with her out ethics. Fortunately, she figured something out and got it handled. Sometime later, she got cancer and dropped her body. I had to deal with a lot more shit which ultimately forced me to contact the attorneys general of Florida and California which resulted in me getting “Dead Filed” which means that I will longer get any communication from any Church of Scientology on planet Earth. Mission accomplished!
