When you go to social services, social services gives you a list of the local churches to go to get food vouchers.

The CO$ is not on their list of charitable organizations.

The CO$ defiles and perverts the idea of a church.

A couple of yrs ago, I met a nun and we started talking and decided to go for coffee. We talked about personal problems. I then mentioned scientology. She began to boil over on the spot, looked at me as if I had horns and three eyes, and took off. So much for the reputation of the COS.

The bonafide churches are the only real stable data that is holding the world together as well as it is.

Thanks Melissa. It was Heber who told me about the train to Kolob after the Armageddon. I just looked it up and see there are only 144,000 supposed to go to heaven (Kolob is where God resides). Maybe the train part was a bit mixed up and my number was definitely wrong. But he was raised in a polygamist Mormon family, so maybe their beliefs were a bit away from mainstream LDS. Thanks for your kind words, and I appreciate it when people point out inaccuracies as I like to be accurate and if nobody says anything I continue to be ignorant…

I was born with an overwhelming stuttering problem. It was so bad, that when I got to Junior High, it was the perfect storm of bad things: I was painfully thin, I had been hit in the mouth, accidentally, with a baseball bat in elementary school so we teeth are all messed up. I had a pigs nose. I was terrible in school sports, Now, I could surf, snow ski and water ski, but, school sports were very difficult for me. And then, there was my stuttering. My mom thought I had gotten over it so I didn’t tell her I hadn’t until right before her death in late ’84. We had a lot of oral presentations in junior high and I couldn’t do it if you put a gun to my head. My teachers wrote me off as a head case and my mom just thought I was a dumb shit kid. I had NO ONE to talk to. Most nights, during my 3 years in junior high, I would pray for death (this is when I thought someone might be listening). I’d wake up and have to do it all over again.

The cult told me that dianetics could cure my stuttering. I believed them. That’s how I got in, Chee Chalker.
