That’s right, they could not have cared less about my answers. Their “acknowledgements” were all FAKE. “I understand.”…”I totally understand.”..”Completely got it.”…etc., etc.

Then they’d ask me the same question AGAIN – the question I had already answered, as “No” and told them IN DETAIL the reason why which in turn they had ANSWERED with the acknowledgement, “I understand.”

So, exasperated, I’d say, “Well, if you UNDERSTAND, then why do you keep asking me the same thing over and over and over? OBVIOUSLY you do NOT “understand” at all, because if you did you’d stop asking me this!”

For so many years I had exasperating comm cycles like this with staff.

Finally, I started exasperating THEM.

I enjoyed a few years of THAT but by then I was UTR on my way out.

You’re right. You definitely got the EP of Grade O, Peabody. Too bad none of the staff ever did, at least as regards reg cycles.

Thanks, Deborah. It makes me uncomfortable to lie (mostly) so it was a relief to hit on this workable strategy which covered all the bases. And it only took me 22 years to figure it out 🙂 Interesting that the same stuff is taught in a class for handling teenagers! Ah, the irony!

I received the book today Mike. Back to some heavy reading. The cover alone catches your attention! 1 in 25! Yikes.

It’s just that DM doesn’t seem to have one iota of care or compassion anywhere to be found.

Scientology questioning is not really interested in anyone’s answer(s). You can be as honest/deceitful, precise/generalizing, or as respectful/rude as can be. The goal is to MAKE YOU TO COMPLY with the cult’s prompts. Whether it’s to get you do a personality test, touch a wall, yell at an ashtray, or to confess to some “crime”, the objective is always CONTROL. Control is the cult’s only narrative. Free flowing, open-minded, and reasonable conversation where participants can disagree, learn from another, be silent, change the subject, or be candid is too unpredictable. Cultists can’t control you if you refuse to play their game by their rules!!

Peggy I always look for redeeming qualities in people but I honestly can’t find any with DM! Malignant narcissist, sociopath, possible psychopath, sadist, and genuine grade A asshole!
