I guess it is either to have consistency, to be sure people aren’t wondering if this is some “offshoot” of “authorized” scientology, or because the scientology trademark is stronger because of widespread use and they want to have that trademark protected in all countries though use.

Anyway – I wanted to ask you something. I’ve noticed that Scientology here in Sweden has changed name to.. well… “Scientology” – from “Scientologi” which is the “Swedified” version of the same term. They seem to be re-dubbing videos and stuff just for this purpose. Seems to be the the same thing going on France? (“Scientologie” -> Scientology)

Any idea why this could be? Is this some kind of global trend, like a ploy to have practitioners buy LHR stuff all over again, so to not have “Misunderstood words” everywhere..? -.-

True. Unless they live in a community property state and he has to give her half of everything he’s got, or unless she sues him in court for alimony OR unless SHE’S the one with the business, the money and the assets, in which case, Hubby will very likely trot right out of the cult with her, so the cult will discourage the divorce. Follow the money when it comes to these matters, particularly when the cult is the 3rd party in the marriage.

Well, OK, that could very well be true, what you’ve pointed out about public figures being lampooned being protected under the 1st Amendment. I’m not a legal person. But then, I personally wouldn’t want Mike Rinder or whoever RB is being harassed, legally, even if the cult couldn’t win. But these are just my feelings and opinions.
