Sadly, for all his promises, the thing I keep coming back to is that the perfect scn is a sociopathic subhuman, incapable of empathy or altruism, only living for immediate “exchange”, and he (Tubby) MUST receive what he demands before he can pretend to try to deliver what he’s promised.

OSD, in some respects, we DID leave our brains outside the door when we entered scientology. And we surrendered little parts of our reasoning capacity each time we didn’t simply laugh off Tubby’s pronouncements, but accepted them, even as ‘working hypotheses’. MY primary downfall, I’ve found, was listening to ANY of ‘study tech’. I’m still working on relegating that Pile of “stuff” to the dung heap it belongs in. As recently as this calendar year, I caught myself defining every word I encountered as I read. Talk about SLOWING my reading speed and damaging my certainty of understanding what I read….
I USED to read for pleasure. Now, it’s more of a chore I do to try to keep the mental machinery in working order. Damn you, Tubby! your techniques don’t improve adequate students’ ability, they weaken it. Just because you could come up with harebrained schemes to improve your own lack of academic abilities doesn’t make them RIGHT. In fact, the LAST person who should expound on education is a demonstrated incompetent who couldn’t pass an entry-level class on atomic structure, concepts I believe I mastered when I was about 11 in 5th grade science class.
