I couldn’t say for sure that Ron even authorised Mission Earth. I remember when the book ‘Battlefield Earth’ came out and I did the publicity up and down the UK for it working for New Era and had a letter back from Ron.

I suspect these were just his fantasy musings that he cobbled together over the years for a bit of fun. There was a lot of over-blown false PR about mission earth….. and pardon the pun, but how on earth could he write 10 books in such a short space of time.

The drummed up PR was ridiculous. Even my friend, the late Sir Arthur C Clarke didn’t have much to say about that one Terl!

Totally Off Topic, but I must share that there are tee shirts for sale online that say, “Sorry I’m Late. I Didn’t Want To Come”.

How I would LOVE to be able to get invited to a major event and wearing one of these! LOLOL! How amusing it would be to take off my coat or jacket AFTER sitting down, and then, mid event, or, after the event, be spotted wearing this! What would they do, I wonder? Tell me to leave? Physically escort me out the door?

And wouldn’t it be wonderfully funny if we could send every Still In one of these tee shirts!

On the Freewinds there was a SO member who gave a touch assist to a public who complained about it.
Years earlier, I was on a Comm-Ev of this same staff member. He had been ordered by CO CMO Ship Jennifer (Rostig) Alpers to cease wearing female hotel uniforms on post. Yet he continued to do so.
I just realized that RB is a cartoon because a lot of people would not believe that the things in it routinely happen in the cult.

Dad read “Mission Earth” first, then Mum and I. There was some awkwardness when Dad knew I was reading the porn. It was Hubbard, so he couldn’t go against it. We all justified it as Hubbard revealing the aberrations of society, so that’s how we got through it.
