That’s why guns are so handy. It bypasses any rationality and any sense of justice is limited thereby to the trigger puller. Bang – problem solved or just point a loaded weapon at someone with intent. Creates quite the effect, trust me.
Policeman make excellent law abiders don’t they? It’s all fine until you bump into a bad one or a corrupt system at play. We need them but until you’ve been severely invalidated by one, everything is just dandy as long as it continues to happen “over there.”
We don’t hear all that much about the negative aspect of law enforcement but in Africa and places like Serbia, Mexico et al it can be pretty terminal if you piss one off.
I would not like to live in any society where the police are robots and where the rule of law is interpreted by morons or zealots.
Imagine someone like miscavige running justice broadly.
