ItI was aboard in 01 after Maiden Voyage when the French i.e. Interpol raided the ship.
We were at anchor in St Bart’s and a military wessel came and boarded us. The 1st Mate Rori Deness woke me up and had me on watch in Treasury FSSO while the boarders went through all of the Treasury files.
However, DM was still aboard! After the MV was over he did not leave right away and was doing some filming on the island and more scuba diving.
I remember when I was on liberty one Saturday my wife and I were ashore eating at a place owned by Jimmy Buffet called” Cheeseburger in Paradise”. She suddenly said to me “Here comes COB”. I looked up and there he was, coming toward us with his entourage.
Within a year I would be sent out of the SO to die of AIDS and my wife would be held against her will on the ship.

Bill, this is great! I’d love to help you write it. I’ve never written a book before though. I’m not a professional ghost writer! Or any kind of writer. I wouldn’t want my name on it. But what a challenge it would be to compile your anecdotes, your experiences…wow. Fun too. If I were doing it I’d keep most everything communicated the way YOU communicate. Very little editing. Maybe I could… Offhand I don’t know of any ex-Scn to refer to you. You’d have to get an ex-Scn, I would think – to give the narrative an authentic tone. I’ve got 2 jobs though…I’m just thinking out loud. Maybe I could, so long as there would be no firm deadline. And hey, you could go on Mike and Leah’s PODCAST to share some (not all) experiences and promote your book. What a blast of a show that would be.

Aqua: I do not have anyone I love in the Church. I was still friendly with my ex-wife but she has disappeared (obviously disconnected) from me since I was declared ( though I have never seen the issue).
I have decided that I will write a book. A number of blog commenters have told me to do so and I am not getting any younger.
I need to find a ghost writer or a helper or get in common with someone who knows how to do it. We will split any proceeds 50/50. If you or anyone else out there is interested, please get in common with me.

Your experiences are amazing and true. What a book, what a MOVIE, my God! You could get a ghost writer, you know. Or a writer, period. “As told to…” Seriously, why not? You talk into a tape, per your recall at any given time. The writer compiles in sequence, edits, etc., keeping you, your “voice” as real and as true to who you actually are as possible. Your story has everything; drama, suspense, grief, near death, left for dead, highs, lows…wow. Amazing. Real life tabloid fodder. Electrifying! And TRUE. My God! And you could make money! Unless you’ve got people you love still in, of course.

I personally know someone whose credit cards were used this way by a Sea Org member. Big bucks. The person I know refuses to press criminal charges. Same reason; doesn’t want to be declared, still has hopes for Bridge one day.

Having had my own mother pass away from dementia, my heart aches for what you & your former wife have had to deal with. These people are the lowest of the low…only they want is $$$ to live their pockets to use for their own enjoyment & to use to “expand the business”..i.e. purchase Real Estate so it LOOKS like their “growing”

Nothing pleases us more than the fact you are STILL with us…that you’ve managed to free yourself of their smothering ways & form a life for yourself.

To know as a “never in”…that Mike Rinder managed to put together a brand new happy life for himself & his new family is the other SWEET REVENGE…..

Yes Aqua, those crimes would fall under FBI jurisdiction. So would human trafficking. Kidnapping and others. I guess attempted murder would not, it is just a state crime.
Actually, had my father not said he was going to call the FBI they would have never released my wife and I would have never seen a real doctor.
This is an important point in dealing with the cult. Don’t pussy-foot around with them if you want to live. I learned that lesson the hard way. If my then wife had not repeatedly gone against their directions after I got dementia I would have been dead, just as surely as the Jews at Auschwitz.
Yet I am the one declared SP and she is in good standing.
