Well, I was a professional entertainer for many years. Never got a contract, though. I did: Acting, musical acting, stand-up, radio, TV and M/C. When I was doing stand-up, i made sure to push the envelope! Also, some of my posts have been sent to the recycle bin too. Hey, I’ve got to be me!

I admired all the names you posted. But Australia had many great players into the 90s. I played 6 days a week. The only time I would not play was when the Los Angeles Lakers were on. The problem was, when I was on my game, I was a great guy! But, when my shots went haywire, I wasn’t. Tennis is a funny game. It brings both joy and anger. I had my share of both.

I’m going to scan and email you some pics from the 80s including Rocket Rod Laver.

BTW, did you stay in the U.S. (read Clearwater) to be close to your estranged family? When I was in Melbourne, I fell in love with that city. Australians are sports crazy, fit, and love to have a great time!

In the mid 70s I was back living in Hawai’i. My buddy and I hooked up with two Aussie surfers. We had a fantastic time surfing together. And, they told me Australia was trying to get people to immigrate down there. I still kick myself for not looking into that now that I know what Australia is like.
