Can’t wait for Hubbard’s promised superpowers to start kicking in, when things will flip from being very bad to very good!

Universe Corps!? That obviously was a joke and a stale carrot to hype staff up over the mistreatment they were about to receive for NOT being able to get Hubbard’s “tech” to work well enough to get the orgs onto a stable footing. The required hoops they had to jump through were irrational, ill-defined, and unobtainable. Any staff still hoping for the top of the “bridge” AS staff, not paying public, have drunk deeply of the Kool-Aid and aren’t paying any attention to what has actually happened since it was dangled in front of staffs’ noses.
By now, that fake carrot must have faded to a sickly yellow, the plastic cracked, and the string holding it decayed into mere threads, unable to hold anything up.

EXACTLY! Part of the contract Sea Org sign promises free auditing and courses, etc, so they can get up the bridge by paying for it through service instead of money. Scientology is in breach of contract with its members since this doesn’t happen. Because the tech doesn’t work.

If it DID work, then it’d be in the organization’s interest to get them up the bridge as fast as possible, since Scientology “makes the able more able” right? In other words, an OTVIII Sea org member can do more than an OTI, who can do more than a clear, who can do more than what they got.

But because it doesn’t work, they have them running around doing more productive things. Like pumping out junk mail. Telemarketing aimed at “anyone who’s ever done any scientology ever.” Tracking down those people. And sticking a vacuum hose into the marks’ wallets and sucking until they get blood.

Hilarious, love and lust among the clams is fraught with innuendo and hubris. And money, no money , no 2D stuff.

    Great RB. Fine satire.

I was wondering about Oliver, he should be already back with the coffees. Who knows where the hell it got entangled? I believe he will have some hard time to get out of lower conditions.

Satire? What satire? RB is merely describing a typical day down at the org.

O/T. History that may be of interest to some.

The federal lobbying of: (a) the Religious Technology Center between 1998 and 2003; and (b) the Church of Spiritual Technology between 2005 and 2007.

According to Open Secrets, the Religious Technology Center (RTC) spent a total of $1,620,000 on federal lobbying between 1998 and 2003, inclusive, as follows:

1998: $420,000 paid to Federal Legislative Associates for lobbying on the issues of Copyright, Patent & Trademark; Foreign Relations; and Civil Rights & Civil Liberties.

1999: $260,000 paid to Federal Legislative Associates for lobbying on the issues of Foreign Relations; Computers & Information Tech; and Copyright, Patent & Trademark.

2000: $200,000 paid to Federal Legislative Associates for lobbying on the issues of Copyright, Patent & Trademark; Foreign Relations; and Science & Technology.

2001: $220,000 paid to Federal Legislative Associates for lobbying on the issues of Copyright, Patent & Trademark; and Foreign Relations.

2002: $280,000 paid to Federal Legislative Associates for lobbying on the issues of Copyright, Patent & Trademark; and Foreign Relations.

2003: $240,000 ($220,000 paid to Federal Legislative Assoc and $20,000 paid to Amitay Consulting) for lobbying on the issues of Copyright, Patent & Trademark; and Foreign Relations.

2004: $0. Amitay Consulting still listed as RTC’s lobbyist on the issue of Copyright, Patent & Trademark.

RTC has not: (1) spent any money on federal lobbying since 2003; and (2) had a federal lobbyist since 2004.

According to Open Secrets, the Church of Spiritual Technology (CST) had one federal lobbyist but nonetheless spent no money on federal lobbying during the years from 2005 through 2007, inclusive. CST did not have a federal lobbyist after 2007.

Interesting. Wanna bet the crew that participated were all in the Hole or otherwise off post by 2005?

Cece, *I* won’t take that bet as Davey has obviously pulled in any money expenditures and is entirely focussed on 1)rapacious fundraising and 2) making prestigious (he thinks) connections to good organizations who can appear to elevate his little kingdom into relevance in any way, shape, or form.

        He wants status above all.
scientology (or what passes for it these days) is expendable, soon to be sacrificed to preserve HIS skin.

Funny you should say that – as I understand it, that pretty much was what happened. According to Mike there were about 20 CST crew in The Hole at one point, including the CO (Russ Bellin).
