Glenn, I applaud you for spotting the draining, vampire nature of these encounters and avoiding them skillfully. These C of S registrars and fundraisers can be so destructive and as Dr Mac shares, for some of us (me included) it takes years and years to make our way out of the financial morass.

Whoever put up the YouTube channel it was not official. Just someone (don’t know who) that did it themselves. Why they stopped I don’t know. iHeart only does audio and doesn’t do YouTube

These days I doubt a staff member could even pay for a five grand e-meter. Can they borrow one? My e-meter in the mid 1970’s cost $150 which might have been a week’s pay for a skilled laborer.

For example, the original “whales” were charged exhorbitantly for events like congresses (often more off-the-cuff performance theater than training or auditing) – which were then re-sold in various ways (courses and tapes) for far more than they cost to reproduce.

I think that because Miscavige can’t continually come up with supposed new “tech” to sell like Hubbard did, and doesn’t have the advantage of a one-time historic flood of idealistic youth to market to, he’s limited to working the asset-stripping more to keep things going – but he’s still following in “source’s” footsteps.

Hubbard only sold auditing and training. Miscavige has had 35 years since he departed to perfect the art of asset stripping. He’s a better con man than even Elron hisself.
