If it were almost anyone else, I’d agree with Alan, but Miscavige himself is 100 times more disrespectful than RB. Miscavige makes jokes about the contents of someone’s PC folder, reads out loud staff O/Ws at staff muster to humiliate staff members, and commits daily a long, sordid list of physical and mental abuses. Miscavige himself is extremely petty (and vain), and makes sexist and racist jokes about his underlings, and in front of his underlings… Regraded Being is just giving the terror midget a taste of his own medicine. From what I hear, Miscavige is very touchy about his image to the world at large (he even wears elevator shoes), and RB knows how to push his buttons.

Hi Pepper,You are a sweetheart & thank you so much for your post.In the long view it really does not matter if any cos or SO member was gay bi lesbian etc or not. What does matter to me is what the Tech did to us all,& how many we lost forever going forward through the years.All I can write was my experience albeit for a month or so with Quentin & share the memory of the handwritten notes Mary Sue would write me from The Apollo thanking me for the hand drawn Xmas cards I sent Ron & her family at Christmas & how much she loved his sensitive side,meaning her son.There will always be strong opinions on murder vs suicide in a lot of cases of OTs who were found passed under strange circumstances.I can say that this thought has literally taken me until this year to figure out,I honestly believe that Ron & those totally determined to carry out his instructions to the letter,were & are capable of ordering anything to stop anyone who they feel is a threat to cos or now cob & the big $ celebs & big $ whales.They must be protected at all costs as the walk in base dwindles to zero.In fact I have not posted this but a few days after Ron passed excuse me took off for Target 2 or 3 we lived in Richmond Va.Walter was out of town on business & I got a phone call ai 11:30 PM fron two individuals from the GO in Calif.it may have been the OSA then but they knew my address unlisted phone number & for the next half hour berated me with threats and garbage that was just terrible.Why did I stay on the line? I’m stubborn & I wanted to see how far they would go.Far enough I’ll tell you.So I still feel all these years later Fair Game as regards when I was declared really is put into practice with very twisted intent.You are so right I read Monica’s story too & I know she tells it most compellingly & it was most interesting however I agree with you we will never know what Quentin would have become that is the tragedy & mystery of this evil cult,It is so hard to live the life that one wants I’m almost 64 & I struggle with that also..I just think we are all shining spirits & how we escaped cos and ended up here is breathtaking.Your lesbian friend sounds like such a good person.I wish her all good things.And for you lots of love,Ann.

Hey Alan, for all you know COB may actually be physically taller than I. Nevertheless I still look down on him. The only reason his body size gets any attention is because he make such a deal about being a Big Being.

Hello cimvar, I have read Monica’s story “My Nine Lives in Scientology” and it’s one of the best. I never knew Quentin Hubbard, so I have no idea if he was gay or not.

I do know a lot of gay people though, and one of my best friends growing up and still today, is a lesbian. As a teen and young adult, she kept her sexuality in the closet although she dressed like a boy and never dated them either. She endured horrible abuse during her teen aged years by other kids, even though she never openly said “I am a lesbian” or had an open dating/sexual relationship with another girl.

The point I am trying to make is that many young people keep their sexual orientation to themselves, even more so in the 1970’s than today. Has any woman ever admitted to having a sexual relationship with Quentin, even though he told Monica he once did with a girl and she was “sent off the ship”? Quentin may well have loved Monica but not necessarily in the way that he would have ever had a sexual relationship with her. Monica also stated in her story that regarding the rumors that Quentin was a homosexual, he probably was so because he was never allowed to have a heterosexual relationship with someone. People aren’t gay because they were prevented from having a hetero relationship with another. This shows a lack of understanding of the dynamics of homosexuality on her part, although her love for, and good intentions towards Quentin shines throughout her story.

If Quentin was gay, imagine how difficult life would have been for him to be the son of a father, a religious leader, who had no tolerance for “the homosexual.” LGBT teens and young adults have one of the highest rates in suicide attempts, and Quentin admitted to his own suicide attempts on at least two occasions. He is gone now. We never got to see the real Quentin and who he might have become had he been able to live the truth of his own life.
