Thank you for the good insight into Tschupp’s motives. It wasn’t a great deal for The Simms. That is certain. Sounds fantastic for Suzi. I doubt they will ever get their house back. Checked public records on the house and it was recently moved into a trust under Suzanne Tschupp’s name. Along with her daughter? Janine’s residence. Janine Tschupp was recently listed as a Flag OT Committee member on Mike’s blog. Might have been in 2020. Additionally a third rental property was also moved into the trust. Whatever the Simms believe they are never getting that house back. It’s worth about 250,000 more than what it was obtained for 2013. Scientology is such a financial black hole. Seems almost impossible to get back out of it. Not unless you are willing to walk away. Even then, what an incredibly hard road ahead. The Simms were listed as Founding Members for the Super Power building in 2011. Just two years earlier. Founding Members had 66 members at the time ($250,000 each). Their son and his then wife were listed as Key contributors ($100,000). He ended up moving in with his parents a few years later.
I don’t understand how anyone can really believe the L. Ron way and the “David way” is working for them, when they are losing their house. Up to their eyes in debt.
A decade later and still swimming.
Regraded Being is one of the best parts of Mike’s website.
Showing the insane logic and reality of so many people’s daily lives.
All for a cult that doesn’t love them back and drains it’s members of life’s infinite potential.
The Emperor must have his robes though.

Actually, this housing deal is not much of a mystery. Let's say I know someone who bought a house for $500 k. They owe $400 k, and are in default. (Meaning it would now take them considerably more than $400 k to bail out their property. Not to mention that they are unlikely to be able to re-finance as their credit is ruined, the loan-to-value is out of whack and their income-to-debt ratio is off.) Along with the distressed owner, I go to the bank and offer them $200 k. The bank accepts as they don't want a foreclosure, or end up owning the property. Consequently, I get the original owner's equity along with a good chunk of the bank's and buy the house for about 40% of its actual value.

Unless I need a place to live, I have no incentive to kick out the original owners. They are actually an added bonus since they will be the source of my cashflow. As tenants, they will pay market value (commensurate with a $500 k value, NOT the $200 k investment I have actually made). I can now re-finance the home, get my $200 k back and pay on that with the rents I receive. I got a free house, and then some.

If I am feeling entrepreneurial, I can get an even bigger mortgage (the cashflow should easily support that since I got such a good deal) and repeat the process somewhere else. I can even spread the word that I am a friend and benefactor to the financially strapped. If I remain close to scientologists, there should be no shortage of those among my "friends", old and new.

It’s mind blowing how many people end up in foreclosure or crushing debt due to their devotion to this scheme of an organization.
Most end up losing their homes, at the very least. Piles of credit card debt. For what? They end up, no place further but incredibly poorer for it. Great example would be the Simms family of Clearwater. Natalie Simms is a dedicated fundraiser to the cause. Often seen smiling and hunting for the IAS. ( One word: Feshbach) Yet her home was foreclosed on in the fall of 2013. Strangely the Simms weren’t kicked out. A Flag committee family bought the house literally as it went to auction and “saved” them. It was the Tschupp family. The short sale was so last second it had to be debated in court as a public auction was ALSO held on the house. Ultimately Suzi Tschupp got the house. The Simms still live in it though, a decade later? I’ve never seen that before. Usually the church just lets a family get tossed out of their home. The Simms must be providing something of value to have been able to broker a deal with the Tschupp family. Considering what Hanspeter Tschupp was known for. Husband to Natalie, Jeffrey Simms ( WISE associated) also had a huge credit card debt of over $13,000 at the time. Went to court and took him five years to pay it off. I have wondered if they are something akin to Sea Org now. Perhaps in all but name. Loyal to the cult. Natalie Simms went CLEAR in 2016. Super Power Run downs in 2017. Not sure how that could have been afforded. Maybe a freeloader debt as well? Jeff Simms strangely took the Fundamentals of Thought in 2019 (celebrity center) after being with the church since 1978? They are certainly very dug in with massive debt to the powerful within the church. Their daughter came in 2nd place on The Voice ten years ago. So they have that going for them, right?
