No. It was a “strat” to comply with IRS regs for a non-profit corp. That being the money built up in CoS reserves was too much and X amount HAD to be spent on legal items. Real estate (new church buildings) was the one chosen.

The solvency of individual orgs has never been the problem of the church management (who all the money ends up controlled by). Individual orgs have never been able to call money down from up the lines they were required to flow it. It’s a one way deal.

Somehow individual orgs have survived, staff borrowing money just to keep the lights on, pleas in late night phone calls to local members for quick cash, anything to survive.

Not a problem that will flow uplines very well. Of course that was a pretty big violation of the power formula, not sharing it widely with the ones on whom you built it. There is a big disconnect when flows only go one way.

There are at most 150 people at the denver org. 50-75 regulars including second generation.

I don’t think it was an impending insolvency issue that prompted miscaviage to launch the ideal org program, rather is was an impending irrelevancy problem. With the church no longer actually delivering scientology there needed to be a new focus for the remaining members. Buildings and status.

The sea org reserves alone are a billion plus, and all the property of the idea orgs bought with donor money but owned by the church, millions to the church for nothing.

No the church has a solvency problem, more money and assets than it knows what to make good use of. And that is a problem because it doesn’t look right.

I’ve not seen anything on having to redo VIII after GAT II. Everyone was ordered to do the new Solo Advanced Auditor course, but it was for those on VI, VII, on/mid VIII and for those in prep of IX.

people were coming down for 6 month checks and were begin told they had to stay to do that plus first do the new course, extending the oh-so-zippy checks by “3” weeks. The fireworks were like 4th of July – all kinds of flapping angry publics. *munches popcorn.

there are a bunch of new L’s auditors. At GAT II events they explained how they couldn’t make them before because the tech hadn’t been fixed and now that it was they could finally make them and made couple dozen or so. I don’t recall the numbers and specifics (and don’t care) but I was there at the time. They paraded them all out and whoop-dee-doo and stuff. Also all about how all the L’s to date had been done by the original auditors and how they were well thanked for all their years and blah blah blah.

So somehow even without Class VI and VII courses, they’re making L’s auditors and beefing up for more unprecedented expansion.
