Hi Mike

I know you've answered me before on this topic but I can't get it out of my mind. David Miscavige took advantage of the eminent domain lawsuit to get into a nicer building as the original Buffalo org was in a red light district and the city wanted to clean up the area and gentrify it.

A short time earlier, a long term parishioner and auditor at the Buffalo org, Ellie Perkins was murdered by her (legally) psychotic son, Jeremy Perkins. Ellie Perkinks daughter also works at the Buffalo org with her husband. There was a lot of investigation by the CoS when this happened, including security checking.

The two events came together perfectly because it always seemed to me that the "entheta" had to be "out created" and this was the perfect opportunity. The news of the homicide and the CoS was all over Western NY. It was horrible PR for the church and the Scn public too.

No doubt there was immense pressure on the Sgroi family to handle it with donations. Their business, Sgroi Financial is still going strong in Buffalo today.

“A good, stable adult with love and tolerance in his heart is about the best therapy a child can have.”

This was always my favorite. Reminds me of El Con kidnapping his own child and threatening to her mother that he would kill her if mom didn't do what he wanted.

And THEN, ensuring that parents who were his S.O. slaves were very UNSTABLE and impoverished. LMAO!

I recall some of those quotes in which Hubbard uses the word, "love". Thank you for proving the word was not completely absent from his lexicon. He said we must love our fellow man in spite of a strong inclination to do otherwise. Great advise from Jesus, the Buddha, Aristotle and my Aunt Betty, none of whom (to my knowledge) ever perpetrated an act of savagery equal to what was committed against Paulette Cooper. On the subject of love Hubbard wasn't preaching revolutionary concepts therefore the only contribution he could have made on that subject would have been to live up to what he preached.

Roger, here are some quotes that mention love:

From the essay "How to Live with Children" -

"A good, stable adult with love and tolerance in his heart is about the best therapy a child can have."
.

And from "What is Greatness?" -

Seeking to achieve any single desirable quality in life is a noble thing. The one most difficult—and most necessary—to achieve is to love one’s fellows despite all invitations to do otherwise.
[...]

True greatness merely refuses to change in the face of bad actions against one—and a truly great person loves his fellows because he understands them.
[...]

It requires real strength to love Man. And to love him despite all invitations to do otherwise, all provocations and all reasons why one should not.

Happiness and strength endure only in the absence of hate. To hate alone is the road to disaster. To love is the road to strength. To love in spite of all is the secret of greatness. And may very well be the greatest secret in this universe."

Body routing died a sudden death with the advent of the FEBC org board in 1972 which consolidated the 3 Public Divisions into 1 and the definitive policy letter, New Reg Breakthrough, written by Diana Hubbard was canceled. Before this chokehold, SFO routed 80 - 100+ people into the org for personality tests daily. Every morning from 8:30 to 9:30 all Public Division personnel drilled upper Indoc. No matter what post anyone had they had to go on the street at 10 am to body route a new person in before going on post, even on Thursdays. After that there were 3 permanent body routers. Then after dinner every Public Div staff member was back on the street to route new people in for the lecture or LRH's black and white film. The Comm Course and HQS Courses were full. The Academy was full. The HGC was very busy. But in 1972 body routing became the sole responsibility of Dept 16. SFO's Dept 16 had 3 staff members. There was no more concerted effort to bring in new people because the 1971 policy to do so was no longer in force. The next stultifying blow was to split SFO into 2 orgs. It has never recovered.

Hi Aquamarine, I can't find your exact post, but you were asking if all of Ron's teachings or tech were totally bad if you believe in total good also.I was pondering that & here Is what I came up with as my take on it.A little truth from me.Yes @ times as the years roll by I honestly have thought was the initial love bombing from Ron & Mary Sue & Asho F So & my auditing & the fun times we had in my early yrs there all bad? Was the love I had for two very special beings there all bad? In that context & that time I have to say no it was not. However there is a movie & a short story called Turn Of The Screw those who have a better memory than I do now can tell me the author, but I can say that when that screw turned on me everything changed forever.Besides the physical I had calls from the GOI when I was on QM @ the complex known now as big blue that 2 class 8 c/ss' were fighting very badly in the HGC & I had to go break them up.Then the LA Fire Dept was called on me this was when Operation Snow White was ramping up big time & they wanted to search the complex @ 1:00 AM & I was the only one there & had to hold them off & tell the Chief it was a false alarm.Crazy! & all that was in addition to starvation & being made to run barefoot up above the Griffith Observatory @ 5:00 Am well won't go on with anymore about that.My point is I believe everyone is entitled to their own viewpoint & I do see yours & respect it greatly. But after all the above I can never separate Ron & now David Miscavige from the tech as it was applied. They will always be complicit in so many ways for the departure of those I loved permanently for my tears etc & for caring only about $ & themselves.OK I'm done & you know I love you & your posts always.Ann B.
