I don’t think it’s a watch. I know it looks like a watch. But I think it’s actually a 2-way walkie talkie device that enables him to spy on all the Sea Org members and give out orders to his RPF police goons to go and snatch some people and throw them into The Hole.

I know The Hole is no longer visible from ground level or from an over-flying plane or helicopter. But I would guess they just hid it underground somehow and now ….

I got an image of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Remember them? Bullwinkle was about four times taller than Rocky.

So, it’s clear that Dave the Monster would be Rocky. I just wonder who would make the best Bullwinkle.

I’m guessing there would not be a sufficient demand to make it possible. But it would be sure to come a historical relic in the years to come. Long after this crazy cult is dead and gone, people will ask, “Who is that funny looking little man in the stupid hat?”

I would love to have one. I’m certain it would provide me with hours of enjoyment – especially if it would turn in circles if I flick it with one of my fingers. Even more so if it would say something stupid when flicked.

To @PeaceMaker – You are correct, by ethical standards in satire. In this instance, we are “punching up,” which is playing fair, such as lampooning a dictator. What is snide and commonly does not go over well in humor is “punching down,” such as making a mentally disabled or other person with no or limited power or agency the target of a joke.

A Data Series view may be to frame as “Correct Target” vs. “Wrong Target”. When you encounter good satire, it’s “Oh, yes, that person is ripe for, themselves, being picked on—finally.”

Or in (ironically) the Ethics Book, the tale of climbing up an 8-foot fence to—with cleverness, skill, and surprise—tackle the schoolyard bully.
