Actually, that would be, together with including the stats of each of them (compared to those from before they became “Ideal” Orgs) , the best strategy for the blog’s purpose so far.

Why iamvalkov? ALL kinds of business and churches “pay cops”. When I was going to a Catholic church they “paid cops” every Sunday for traffic control. (that was 45 years ago) In MANY large cities cops don’t get paid enough to live near where they work and are underpaid for their area and the Union had to fight tooth and nail to get cops permission to moonlight at all.

They can use PD vehicles if they are contracted through the police department. We had to do this to get traffic control for a parade I helped organize. The officers are off-duty, meaning they are not currently on patrol, and the department gets a little revenue and the officers a little extra cash. 4-5 officers is a significant expense. Just a bizarre over-reaction.

That would make for a very interesting investigative report for a local TV news crew (anyone know a LA news reporter?)

Can’t do that in Chicago. That is wear and tear on a city vehicle, paid for by the taxpayers. Citizens of Nashville, call your local govt rep. We should not be subsidizing David Miscavige’s paranoia.
Plus, it gives the impression that are on duty, acting in an official capacity.

Paul — you don’t even have to be the highest bidder. Just pay the going rate. You go to the PD and they have a roster of officers who want to do off hours work and the rate is set by the PD. The PD is happy because they have more officers visible on the streets and they are not having to pay them. The cops love it as they get time and half or double time for off hours work (or even more) and all they do is sit around or direct traffic.
