Thanks so much for this post. Who staffs the huge amounts of real estate they’re buying up, like One Griswold in Detroit? The Griswold building is huge, and its purchase came with a lot of the “expansion” PR you discuss here, but with no statement of who would be in the building or what it would be used for.

While this is no shock to us, it would be a shock to many scientologists, especially sea org members. Yep this is what you have dedicated a billion or so years to, sorry to break it to you. Not even the multimillion dollar Super Bowl ads put a dent in this non-existent interest in the “fastest growing religion.” By the way, a cursory googling of ‘fastest growing religion’ will show that it’s debatable between a few religions, none of which are scientology. The only thing that even boosts public interest past the point of non-existent is when there is bad press. I know it’s the complete opposite to everything you guys hear from COB at events, but please start doing actual research into the subject of scientology. Despite what you may think, there is nothing wrong with actually looking instead of just listening.

Thanks Ann B. But, the posters I’m referring to are NOT OSA. They are “Indie” Cult of Scientology members. They just prefer the Original Criminal over his successor…

Brian, Wow! I knew Jesse back in the day. Was friends with his wife. It makes sense that El Crim Hubbard gave orders that aligned with his published policies.

Thanks John. I just found this on Marty’s site. If you scroll down to Jesse Prince’s entry it reveals his awareness of when Ron instructed David Muscavige to:

1) Spit in someone’s face
2) assign staff to hold someone while Dave beat up the person

Can you imagine a gullible, naïve young man seeking spiritual guidance and then being instructed by the man you consider the messiah to beat people up?

How would that define that boys reality on violence??????

And then he becomes obsessed with the violent injunctions to protect power: Bolivar

And then read “The Family Man is a GE?

This is what made DM into what he is today. He already had the predisposition to be violent.

Ron made him into a monster. He gave him justification to hurt people. Something he became very good at.

Miscavige needed psychological help, not instructions to harm others.

Well, thankyou Raindog. I just get involved sometimes and just wish I could get my thoughts into exactly the right words (don’t we all wish that and without the typos too). But as the sun slowly sets on dm’s RCS the sickening reality of that man’s legacy is becoming more and more evident. It’s hard to remain silent having first hand experience of such inhumanity. Reckon Mike’s site is the sanest on the subject, he does a good job of keeping an even perspective.
