Thank you Terri. Back then, it seemed like LRH had no idea who the messengers in training were. I truly attributed everything that happened to you and the other ‘originals’ on Flag at the time.

I’d love to share my story of how a naive 14-year-old managed to get offloaded in non-E with a fake cognition and corresponding floating needle. I figured out how to use SCNs own BS to get out. Unfortunately, my trip home from Curacao to LA was scary and dangerous.

I must have had some amazing guardian angels. The folks on Flag never notified my parents and I had no info to contact them.

I was almost drawn back in after an amnesty in 1979. Was supposed to report after Jan 1st 1980. A few days before, I broke down and sobbed to my Mom that I feared by life was ending. That call to the recruiter, to say I wasn’t joining, was ugly. But…it showed me my decision was right.

I am so sad for all you went through. I know our parents, like so many others, thought they were doing the right thing for us.

Thank you for sharing with me. I continue to pray for the demise of SCN and the release of its members from bondage.

As I said, I never locked up anyone, LRH ordered all of the lock ups, not me. If Doreen had you locked up then it was at LRH’s order and if she didn’t do what she was told he would have locked her up too. That was how life was with him. Do it or be included. He ran the show and it was harsh and brutal all the way. We were simply his pinions, his slaves, his victims although I hate being called or considered a victim. Any injustices done on the ship like this were at his calling. We were under the same duress you were, the only difference was that we had no way to leave, no way out, as our parents had left us there thinking they were leaving us with the man that was “saving mankind”, at least you escaped to a better world. We lived there another 22 years in all and it was not a fun life, there was no love and compassion, no parental guidance, no one to watch over us, just harsh and unjust orders cast out all the time from LRH to others. You escaped early and I’m glad you got out of there, it was a hell hole. Let me quote from Janis’ book, the Preface at the beginning reads: “The closer you got to LRH the further from ideal life became”.
You might like to read her book, it might answer some questions for you and give you a better idea of what really went on behind the scenes with LRH. I’m sorry for what happened to you and to anyone else who was mistreated by LRH and Scientology and I’m sorry to hear stories like yours. I’m glad to hear you are doing so well now, that made me smile. I wish you well and I hope that one day we can talk, laugh and smile together and share the good things in life that we have always been looking for. You sound like a really good person.

Thank you Mike, you are correct. I have not read anything Terri has written. I really have had no interest in pursuing the whereabouts of those who ran my life on Flag.

I have had multiple calls from various SCN phone banks, having apparently tracked me down from my auditing records as an 8-year-old in LA. I usually let them know they should just jot down my number and call me should they need help getting out… that or… “I’m sorry, my cat Xenu says I can’t talk to you anymore” (click).

Seriously though, thank you for your response, mine was a knee-jerk reaction. I am befuddled as to why those who have perpetrated crimes in LRHs name and during his tenure seem so outraged by Miscavige. I guess if they had lived a real life, in the real world, they would have known it was inevitable. If one didn’t already exist in the cloistered circle where everything was relative…one would have seen this coming.

Glad to see your activism and passion. I can only guess you don’t remember me. Not surprising… you were only 17 and I was only there for 9 mos. Got there shortly before Tonja and the Henderson’s.

As for the lock-up, you gave the order, Doreen did the enforcing. It was pretty awful. Will save the details in case I ever decide to write a book.

Suffice it to say both Yvonne and Charity were pretty dismayed at my treatment. They had both lead my parents to believe I was going to the safest place on the planet and that their own children would look out for me. An escape from the dangerous middle school I attended in Hollywood.

My folks did speak to someone high up at one of the orgs after I returned. They took a report, don’t remember much coming of it. I think that’s why she appealed to Yvonne and Charity. My Mom had been an Ethics Officer in 1968 on our first time in California. She took this stuff seriously.

Nonetheless, you are forgiven dear Terri whether you remember or not. Brainwashing a child is a terrible thing and you were subjected to it far longer than I. Ultimately, your survival and success is the greatest testament to your spirit and who you really are. I am fine. I love my life. I hope you love yours.
