"I do believe there is another element not really covered here that is going to make this fail. People are conditioned how to think in the church. They KNOW what they can and cannot say. Even in session. It is why you do not find people coming up with David Miscavige or Julian Schwartz or Charmaine Roger as their PTS Items."

Hey Mike, I like what you're doing here on your blog. Great stuff. I just wanted to say that when I was the De-PTSer at Int, Dave started coming up in PTS interviews as an item - not many times, but he did. It was obvious that some people at the base had just had enough, couldn't take it anymore, and didn't care what the outcome would be. It's also interesting that those few who did name him as their Item we're quickly removed from post and either sent to the decks over at OGH or the RPF.

I also have a gut feeling that the ultimate reason why DM removed me from post and had an all-base briefing about me and a couple of other Tech guys was that he knew that through all of the PTS interviews I was doing, I was piecing together what a sick scumbag he was. Although we had to chalk it up to "out-ethics" and "evil intentions" for their PTSness at the time for naming DM as an item, looking back on it, they were totally right and had some balls to say it. At one point I had over half the base on the PTS list due to injuries, illness, accidents, mistakes - you name it. We're talking about 250 to 300 people on the PTS list at one time. Leslie Epstein and I had our hands full and we could see no end because as soon as a few people came off of the list, the same amount would be added again. Most of these people had a hard time finding present life-time PTS items and would attempt to go Whole Track in these interviews or would name "Good Hats" at the base. The real reason that these people were getting sick and involved in accidents was because of David Miscavige and the stress and torture he put us all through at the base.

I guess my point was that it's obvious that many people have woken up to how evil Miscavige really is and are leaving in droves. They know that he's their "PTS item" (whether or not they name him in an interview or not) and so are essentially disconnecting from DM in their own way. Cheers to those people who are waking up!

Interested non-scientologist here, I've just looked through the long long list of questions and am wondering if its not too much trouble if someone might explain some of the concepts like 'exteriorize', 'quad 3 flow' etc. Also, what happens when you answer a question in the affirmative? Do you stop and talk about it with the auditor? How are the concerns resolved?

In reply to <a href="https://www.mikerindersblog.org/superpower-step-one-the-ethics-repair-list/#comment-9719">Detlef Ruchatz</a>.

Detlef, thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Finding this reference is tough. It was on a tape somewhere. It impacted my life quite a lot. Since then I do not say "forgive" anymore, I use "let's look forwards" instead. So just take it as verbal data. I think the proper words were "assignment of bad cause". And vice versa feeling sorry is the acceptance of bad cause.
In fact it does not matter if it is written or not. What is true is what is true for you.
I acknowledge that the above R-factor usually causes good indicators according to you. So I will not dig any further and respect it.

Well, here's an interesting piece of tech. In Scientology there is a term, the "why", meaning the reason for something to have occurred or the reason you did something. A good example is to tell someone they are an "SP" when they are obviously not, and then declare them. This is a wrong why. There cannot possibly be that many Scientologists who are SPs. ;-)

When someone forces a WRONG "why" on you, such as what happens with the "truth rundown" people get majorly screwed up mentally, emotionally and, often physically. Imagine how many people who submit to this crap are probably reeling from all the wrong indications (reasons) why they are they are "wrong" in their thinking to disagree with the RCS. The RCS has forced a wrong WHY on every person declared, such as they are "out-ethics", or they "lied" when they, in fact, told the truth. Etc, etc, etc. And THIS is what our "friends" who have disconnected from us now "know" about us. It just staggers the imagination. And because people are led to believe that Scientology is the ONLY path to spiritual freedom, they are loath to give it up, even when they are beat up by the church. (This is one reason why otherwise sane people stay in the church.)

In our "goldenrod" write-up on our declare, we were told one of the reason is that we "refused to come in and get handled". As a Class 6 auditor I fully understood why it was not safe to go to Flag (4 1/2 miles from home, by the way) to get "handled". In 2004 I was pulled of of OT7 and sent to 4 intensives of confessionals based on something that was written by a crazy person. I saw for myself just how far the RCS had gone off the rails and was done at that point.

Auditing had not been save for me. Every time I told something different than expected I had been considered either „nuts“ or sent to Ethics for not being able to run a process and thus have to be „out ethics“. Only a view auditors and case supervisors I can exlude from the this experiences.
My emotions regarding the ethics repair list are not positive. L. Ron Hubbard or whoever allowed or ordered heavy ethics and then after too many people being affected and not on post this has been „found out“ as error. If only some who cares? And this error is corrected by a repair list. And then after the auditing of this repair list all my sins are forgiven. So, I had been effect of some heavy errors and then I am forgiven the fact that I had been effect of it. The word „sarcasm“ is much too mild to describe this situation.

Your question is answered in the Ethics repair list itself. Some questions, for example question 18, require to pull the withhold. I do not know, if "forgive" would be an assignement of guilt per LRH - I have never heard or read of it -, but I do know, that this R-factor given at the end usually leads to very good indicators in the PC.
