Dang, I was in the GOUS (for 6 mths) and GOWW (for 2 yrs) and don't recall his name, but then I was just a files clerk in PR Bureau, what did I know. :) :) :). I worked real hard at staying out of the lime light and out in the barns.

Ann, good luck tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

Mike -

You're right, I don't know SadStateofAffairs, much less what he has done or has not done. And I understand that you defend your friend, but I do not understand your politics, so I guess I'll try not to post five times to every single topic.

I have no problem with Scn tech. I have no problem with the philosophy. I have no problem with gains from correctly done auditing. And I'm not going to sit around and question sanity just because someone else, who has never shown me any logic of their own to impress me otherwise, nevertheless tells me it is insanity, and cannot even begin to 'prove' that.

I too have the right to defend those I consider my friends, and I have a right to stand up for what I know is correct - if I choose to.

If you saw a reasonably healthy individual in reasonably good condition in life, making plans to jump off a cliff and die, would you try to stop him, even if you did not know him? I see people casting a bit of doubt here, a bit of suspicion there, a little innuendo, then a lie, then a lot of lies ... and I see people begin to question what they thought was correct, and question what is in fact, correct. Gains become "some improvement." Workable becomes "parts of it are beneficial." Eventually, lies become "truth." Two plus two becomes three, or five, or something, but not four. A car crashes into a tree, so the driver blames the car, or the tree. There are police reports that are hilarious, e.g. "I was driving along fine until a tree jumped out in front of me!" The tech works just fine, and delivers exactly as promised, if used correctly, but to say that makes one a "KSW-banger" or a "fundamentalist." Yeah ... one of them bigots, you know, the wrong people.

To me, an individual's personal integrity is the most valuable thing he has. The comfort of agreements is no substitute for truth. So I wish you and everyone here your integrity, and the truth - however it may find you.

SadStateofAffairs -

Sorry if my reply to you was un-auditor-like. Isn't it a bit over the top to chisel away at Scientology because it has been misused, and that misuse has yielded poor results? The simple fact is that there has never been anything better, there is such a thing as the truth, there are such things as answers, and if used correctly, Scientology does deliver as promised. That has been my experience with it. I too have experienced the "disruption" of being on the receiving end of misuse of it, and that stirs up a lot of charge, but that too, can be fixed.
