Since AA was founded in 1935 and Scn was around 1950, I’d say that Ron plagiarized that quote of don’t desire to be liked or admired from AA.

You’re supposed to “Flow Power to Power”. That way the organization stays powerful and you and the rest of the dynamics get a trickle down effect – something like that.

The acknowledgement habit is hard to break.

I recently read that many “squabbles” between couples arise from disagreements about who is supposed to do various household duties and chores, how often and so on. I often do extra chores around the house and don’t mention them to my significant other. Sometimes when I do mention them I get the response, “Yes, but . . . (list of other chores) . . . also need to get done.” So it’s best to keep my mouth shut and just be satisfied that I got the extra chores done.
