Admitting the truth to one’s self Aqua is often a very difficult thing for some people. They can’t stand to think that they were wrong, that they got sucked into something that they should have “known better then to get involved with”.

I can imagine many people who were former “ins” to this day are thinking to themselves “what was I thinking”, “how could I have been so stupid to believe ANY of that”, “why didn’t I get out sooner cause I knew something wasn’t right”….etc etc etc.

Being brave enough to admit that to one’s self…..is the firs step in setting yourself free. I am so proud of you girl!

I have argued this a lot. Supposedly people can pick up another body, locate the PC folders from the previous lifetime and start again where they left off. Anything else would be out-tech, like having a NOTS completion redo the grades or NED. But I have never heard of this happening ever. I believe the little munchkin at the top forbids it. It really just proves that auditing gains are all in your head, and just a very expensive trap.

Aquamarine, your heart was in the right place when you joined! Thank goodness you were in a position to actually see what was going on. I’m with you that it’s hard to believe that the majority of those still in know what’s going on, especially the celebs who walk in the free world. When those walls come tumbling down, and Miscavige tries to escape to his private jet, I doubt there’s anywhere deep enough for him to hide. There’s going to be a lot of ticked off people with the resources and contacts to track him down and try to recoup some of their money.

Interesting thought on the neubian take-over scenario. They could even theme it in with the space opera about some invader force that came to earth hundreds of years ago from an untainted star system with the fall of a black meteorite around 713 AD. Then again, the meccabians may not be so benign. Then again again, it’s all speculative nonsense.

I’ve been trying to trying to figure out what that admission might mean. Is it that only about 2,000 of their 20,000 or so actual members have gotten that far up the “bridge”? But it seemed like there had been a real push on in recent years to get people, including older hangers-on, to go “clear,” as evidenced in part by the increasing numbers on clear certificates, so I’d guess that the number is actually more like 5,000 or even higher. Are a lot of those people becoming disillusioned and dropping out? Or did Scientology just have to fudge their figures in order to try to keep their propaganda claims and lies consistent, presenting a fewer portion of clears in order to keep up claims of much larger membership, such as leading the scholar to believe that they have 20,000 clears out of a supposed membership of 200,000?

Since clear numbers being issued are just below 70,000, the 90% figure would seem to be at least an admission that they can’t have had a whole lot more than half a million members over their entire history. While there’s often some reality to be ferreted out underneath Scientology’s propaganda claims, it’s possible that this is a case where they’re falling back on an old number that doesn’t particularly relate to current figures.
