I learned a long time ago to listen carefully to the names someone will call another, because they're telling you all about themselves without realizing it. This isn't in a childish "I know you are but what am I" way, it's for real. The reasons for it aren't too hard to figure out. If you haven't discovered this yet, start paying attention to it. Doesn't have to be directed at you, could be someone talking to you about a third party. And don't conclude anything from one incident, because you won't really have the hang of it yet — do it over time. As you get better at it, you'll start feeling more and more like "I can't believe this", as you discover the extent to which most people's worlds are entirely defined by their own personhood, and they are only able to toss things outward that originated from inside that microcosm.

So re-read the list of names Miscavige is said to have used against others, only this time, as you read each one, mentally compare it to what you already know, or have read, about Miscavige's OWN character.

Those "names" Miscavige is calling others do show a bit of creativity. I have some creativity of my own, a short poem written in 2006, called Little Davey.

Little Davey
A to B
Tries his best
To be OT
Runs the group
From RTC.

Winning valence
Pushes on
A Power Plus
From Eons Gone
Problem is
He isn’t Ron.

what a tax exempt, religious, way to spend the time of a very expensive lawyer.

And here I was thinking that all that time compiling lists of nick-names of Captain David "he is NOT insane!" Miscavige on Tony O was a questionable way to spend someone's time. It's not, it leads to comedy gold. Keep going, MK!

It's because Miscavige is extremely literal. By "lady killer", he means someone who kills ladies. He thinks that's funny.

Yes, I do not doubt at all that was in Advance magazine. Of course as we all know the OT phenomena in that magazine is at best greatly exaggerated and at worst completely made--I think usually it is the latter..

Deixler seems to have been trying to impeach you as a witness by demonstrating your "bias." He fell into a trap most first year associates know to avoid: don't embarrass your client or make him look like a monster. When I see lawyers acting idiotically in court, I am always reminded of Lenny Bruce's description of his obscenity trial. He was charged with using the word f**k in his act. So in court, the baliff read the charge of saying f**k, then the judge said the word f**k, then the prosecutor repeated the word f**k, and the witnesses were asked whether Bruce used the word f**k. But Bruce was the one charged, and he got a comedy routine out of the case.

To make the above relevant to Miscavige, Deixler wants his to keep his well heeled client, so he followed Miscavige's orders without thinking that the deposition would go on the Internet. He then grilled you as to whether you compared Miscavige to Dahmler or Hitler. Then he debated you on when you determined Miscavige was a sociopath. In order to impeach a witness, you don't humiliate your own client. But then, Deixler doesn't care, he got paid for following fuehrer-Miscavige's orders.
