Here in Aus it’s compulsory for employers to make contributions to employees Superannuation Fund with each pay. That doesn’t happen in US?
I’m guessing that would be the equivalent to retirement pay?

I remember the time I was being REg’d at Flag by two. This went on for hours with them positioned between me and the only door to get out. I eventually couldn’t take it anymore, refused to give any money and was about to fall asleep. At that point I announced that I was going to stand up and walk out. I then warned them to make sure I was not touched as I did so. I did it in a tone that made them understand that severe physical damage was in store. I stood up and walked out as they sat still. They are actually a bunch of panty-waisted dilettantes pretending to be tough Tigers.

omegapaladin, the VAST percentage of companies do NOT give retirement pay. Maybe 50 years ago but not now.

Short answer: No. Similarly few can rarely be that honest to themselves. Those who CAN are likely to soon out here with us IF they get any chance to do so. That’s why I am SO happy the Aftermath Foundation has been established and that it immediately had some effectiveness; enough that OSA felt the need to try to infiltrate and sabotage it. Sorry if I toot the Foundation’s horn often enough to sound like a shill, but it’s something I REALLY am happy about. Wish I could do more, dangit

IMO, it IS out of business, though inertia’s still propping its walls up. There’s no one DOing scn, no one going out and grabbing in folks from the street and getting them onto services, no one applying what actually works (after a fashion).

Good point. There’s that one thing worse than getting old and too creaky,as I am. Some days it’s not a bad idea to take stock and enjoy what yo can now.
I just recently realized I was truly “PTS to the middle class”. feels GOOD to be comfortably middle-class and retired! better than when I was PTS to Flog.
