I would say, as a former, that your Little, Inner ‘secret…’, real Self, like my own, had carried it all about as long as it could. I believe this part of you is that part of you ‘that knows all’.
My personal experience is that my Little one, the little me that had experienced everything, is Who holds my power, my knowing; and it is She who shut me down (as this is the real me). I’m so glad She finally revealed Herself to me ten years ago. Since, I’ve worked to heal Her, and life, while different, is gentle, warm; respecting and humorous. Quite simply put, Inner Children aren’t welcome in the Church. And They know it. Their wisdom keeps us, until we wear down enough to hear Their sweet voices. At our core, we’ve never been touched. And our Little, Inner One holdsband is that innocence. Can highly recommend the work of Charles L. Whitfield, M.D. Healing the Child Within. He also wrote Not Crazy, You May Not Be Mentally Ill, about the increased challenge to sanity brought about by the pharmaceutical industry. He’s the real deal. Good luck to you, my dear! ?

I don’t know ’bout that Fightin’ Irish. It was a pretty standard education for the time . Truth be told, the VAST majority of people (maybe >99%) who were introduced to the Church & Hubbard did not become entranced nor believe a word of it. So, most people were fortunate like me. Very few were unfortunate to get deeply involved.

My own decision not to come forward has long been a difficult one. It makes it all the more amazing to me when people like Mike, Gary, Karen, Mary, Saina and others do share their testimony.
