I love hearing about those moments when a scientologist starts evolving out of the indoctrination because they acknowledge to themselves that something is not right, something is false and it’s not supposed to be…. thereby allowing themselves to accept what they are really seeing, as opposed to propagated lies. I’m with you Gus. And what the SO does to old SO members is atrocious. They kick them to the gutter whether they have relatives to care for them or not. OR they put them in Medicaide / Medi-Cal run facilities and have the state provide for them on the state’s dime. As far as I know, the church doesn’t even pay into the FICA or Medicare systems for its SO workers. This is sad because if someone gets out of the SO and is 65 years old, they cannot get Medicare because “they never paid into the system” because the SO never paid that for them. So that leaves them without insurance at an age they really start needing it.

There was someone in South Africa who accepted a freedom medal award over theft and fraud. Instead of refusing it, he baked in its glory.

When he was caught out for his theft and fraud from the IAS, he was still treated here as a hero.

Eventually, on the bones of his backside (karma?), he tried to flog the medal only to find out that is was not made of solid gold as he’d been lead to believe!

Even after being “ignominiously removed from post” he still was was dedicated to the church and obviously raised his son in it. Real churches are communities, where they take care of each other. In a real church, the old folks teach and contribute ideas, the young folks learn and do the action work, and when the young folks get old, their community will take care of them just as they helped their elders. That’s like, normal. That is what civilized people do.

In a shitty fake “religion” like scientology, they suck all of the energy, life, and money out of their members while they are young and active, and then shove them into the gutter once they get old. What a shitty organization scientology is.

I dare say that anyone refusing that award would have a trip to specially-formulated sec checks for the foreseeable future, at least.
