In reply to <a href="https://www.mikerindersblog.org/ideal-org-failure-47x-san-francisco/#comment-201707">Michael Brinda</a>.

To Michael Brinda and others here, I could not agree more. The existence and steady, robust use of the internet to enforce an enormous amount of transparency onto most any institution has got to be one of the biggest "Our Heads Are in the Sand" blunders of C of S leadership of the last couple decades.

The other massive and steady blunder, which does receive comment on this blog, is these C of S created "hate websites" to try to sass and ludicrously malign the reputation of one who goes against C of S. No one, but no one, buys into these super meanspirited over-the-top attempts at a narrative. Any non-Scientologist person who might encounter one of these is far more inclined to experience it as what it is: "sour grapes." The content on these sites comes across as a churlish child on the playground, failing to get his or her way, tossing up sand and having a meltdown-tantrum. We have all seen this in real-life many times: WITH TODDLERS.

In other words, the sites and related poor attempts at attacks using social media are simply ridiculous, plus the word I said earlier: transparent. Transparent to any who actually look at them. They are not designed to “win anyone over,” who is not already an “Us against Them” Still-In with some rabid elements to their character. (In other words, these are not even going to appeal to all who are Still-In, because many of them are kind, gentle, decent, smart people. What a turn-off.)

The goodness in me speculates: With most in the group, staff and public—starting back in about 2012— going back onto their Objectives (processing interacting with physical universe to get a person more fully into Present Time), there MUST be individuals in the group who are noting these things, these “outpoints.” There simply MUST BE. You can't have that many talented, otherwise very able people undergoing over 100 hours of Objective Processing and delivering same to your twin (since many are co-audits), not result in a few noticing these ridiculously bad leadership habits of the last 20 or so years.

The realist in me—and the one who has gotten more educated about the group being on this blog, as well as other sources—speculates the likelihood of any such voice being not-ised, silenced, declared a Suppressive Person, and told to leave is high. I do comprehend how this strange tapestry Hubbard left in place of "administrative policy" will continue to make it impossible for this group to exist in a uniformly clean fashion. THAT is part of the cleverness of the trap: you do believe all is “clean,” when it super, duper is NOT. #WhatAStunner

It makes me truly sad, because I am one of those where each service I did, I fully enjoyed and got a lot out of it. Can I say I got a half a million dollars of value out of it? Probably not. The costs are ridiculous and scandalous, no dissent there. But a lot of the core, early services, and some of the basics of auditing—having an "Out-List" identified and corrected on the meter, as one for instance—are helpful for a refreshed outlook in one's mental and emotional existence. I speak from both the receiving (as a "preclear"), as well the delivering side as a classed auditor.

Really appreciate this blog community. It is the chief source of my un-programming.

To @scnethics - I recognize this quote from the wonderful Martin Short character he did on "Saturday Night Live," Ed Grimley. What a goofball. Thanks for the laugh here. Mirth amidst all these reports, observations, and realities is therapeutic!

The SF org on Market street was difficult to access. There was a soup kitchen around the corner, and surrounded by blocks of really sketchy people and one time I was assaulted and pushed off the sidewalk, out into traffic, while walking to the org from a nearby parking lot. The org started having to send out men to walk people to and fro their cars. It was not safe. The new org is in a relatively safer location and easier to access by BART trains and other forms of public transportation. I don't recognise anyone in the picture of the opening, so I think that this was not a picture of actual staff.

Yes, sheep can be nice. The biggest problem with Scientologists today is that they listen and don't look - this makes them a liability because through their ignorance they further propagate an abusive system, instead of introspecting AS a group and correcting what they can so that they get along with the rest of the populace instead of simply drinking kool-aid on the Titanic. And that pattern of self-destruction been beaten into them by the rulah ... err controller, David Miscavige. And while Hubbard stressed the value of looking, in other places he insisted that members not look, such as when it came to authoritarian dictates governing his "religion" of course always selflessly, "for your protection." This is the dichotomy of Scientology and likely any mind-fuck group. But yes, the sheep generally are nice and polite like many in society act before you push their buttons.
