I wondered the same thing too. Mike, why do you predict the Scn celebs won’t show to the event? Won’t they risk the Leader’s displeasure? Maybe they would rather risk that than ruin their career by association with the Death Star.

I’m curious as to why you’d bet that TC, JT, KA , JE, etc. won’t show up for this thing. Wouldn’t their being no-shows at this momentous event communicate as a “dis” of POB? Would the need to distance themselves from Him for PR reasons at this point in time outweigh all other considerations?

Granted the news is hyping it up even more, but it’s going to be different than an inconvenient drizzle. The weather information at this point is a collection of about 4″ in 3-4 days from 2 storms. This will give the shoot crews all kinds of hell, messed up equipment, crappy lighting, crappy event videos for future PR lies, way less people who won’t want to stand in the rain, and umbrellas will obscure camera angles. For all concerned they should throw in the towel. Or use about 5,000 of them to clean everything up.

fyi–at 1:51:00, Sea Org members express fear that Scientology won’t exist in 20 years. The Pope does not have this fear about Catholicism, and he won’t be re-opening Catholic churches in LA this week.
