I went sent to the Freewinds in the Caribbean for the annual Maiden Voyage anniversary event in June 2004.
Once againm Miscavige decided I was a SUPPRESSIVE PERSON, and along with Heber Jentzsch and Guillaume Lesevre, I was assigned to scrape shit from the bilge tanks.
At the time, my mother was on board as a public Scn’ist; she had attended the week of events and stayed for further study afterwards as it was a very long flight from Australia.
For weeks I did not see her.  But she kept asking about me.  She had come half way across the world and had watched me at the event, but now I was nowhere around.  It is another microcosm of Scientology ~~ my own mother was on the same ship, but was completely unaware of what I was doing.
 
She knew I would not leave the ship without saying goodbye to her.
So, to avoid a flap, I was escorted for a supervised visit in the main dining room

Before I saw her, I soaked my whole body in  a bath tub filled with diesel oil to dissolve the grease that had accumulated in every pore, just as I had done when suffering this punishment before.  It smelled as bad as it sounds but it was the only way to remove the ingrained blackness.   My entire body from head to toe nails was the smell of an auto mechanics hands.  To get rid of the smell of the diesel, I then washed with soap for an hour, I am sure I still smelled terrible despite my best efforts.
