I agree wholeheartedly. Truly an excellent work of research and analysis. The first chapter of the book is genius -- it is scientology&#039;s version of Hubbard&#039;s war record. With cites for every single statement it is truly laughable how many completely conflicting statements there are for virtually every part of his time in WW II. It is quite amusing to read the repeated Hubbard/scientology claimed he was on the Secretary of the Navy&#039;s plane being flown home as the first casualty in the Pacific Theater, or alternatively, he was escaping Japanese invaders on Java, or alternatively he was sinking Japanese subs off the coast of Portland, or alternatively he was Commander of a British Corvette squadron in the North Sea etc etc etc]]></description>

We had a period of time (here in the US) where it was either happening more often, or simply being reported in the media finally. It seems that as we’ve become more polarized politically and had other series’ of tragedies, I don’t recall hearing of any recent stolen valor cases. It’s most definitely illegal and deeply frowned upon here, as well. And I agree - many of us wonder why (in yet ANOTHER case of co$ blatantly committing crimes) it’s never been pursued. 

There’s a poster on Tony’s blog -PickAnotherID - who’s really delved into lrh’s military records, the medals co$ purports (and DISPLAYS!) that he has. His comments are interesting to read, as he goes into which medals are impossible and why. Also how they&#039;re displayed incorrectly - and NO ONE whose served in the military, even newbies - would display so overtly improperly.
