Glenn, thank you for responding to me as you did. I never went to Flag (over the long years it was either “no money” or “no time”) but I knew and know people personally who had your awful experiences and have shared them with me first hand. And of course I’ve also read the stories out her on the internet. Really I have not the words for how beyond wrong and cruel it is to exploit people who are utterly trusting that they’re going to be helped…I don’t have the words. I’m so sorry you had these horrible, negative, betrayal after trust experiences, Glenn. I am REALLY glad though, that you confronted, that you “took responsibility”, that you are now doing well, that you’re now happy – so glad! Because THIS way, is the only way. The determination to NOT be done in by the cult, the postulate that one is still alive and that, as the man said, “Nothing is over until its over” not only helps the first dynamic, it DEMONSTRATES in the physical universe the LIE off of which the Still Ins are operating. When they SEE that their Disconnection and all the other lies and crap they dished out before they disconnected has NOT done you in, that you have, in fact, grieved, yet nonetheless gone ON to CREATE another life for yourself – WOW! THAT IS POWERFUL. A VERY powerful, impactful message for these fuckwits. Their heads will spin! They’ll wonder: “Why didn’t (Disconnected From) fail? Get sick? Die? How is it that he/she is flourishing, PROSPERING, doing fine? And without ME? And without Scientology? How is it that he/she is busy and happy and enjoying life with OTHER people to love now? Why, (Disconnected From) looks is actually, for real, HAPPY! Where’s all the grief? They’re UPTONE! They’re UPSTAT! HOW CAN THIS BE? ”

LOL! It will blow their minds. In a good way.

Not for nuthin’ as they say in Leah Remini’s neck of the woods – not for nuthin’ is it said that “Living well is the best revenge”. But in the case of someone who’s been dumped because of Disconnection, living well is NOT about revenge. (Alright, maybe a little bit 🙂 )

Seriously, its about teaching them, SHOWING them, that they are operating off of LIES. By making very sure that YOU, the Disconnected From One don’t fail and instead succeed, you are doing THEM a service, and teaching them a valuable lesson they can apply for when THEY finally leave the cult.

So, if you can’t find the heart to do it for yourself, flourish and prosper for THEM. Seriously.

You are ABSOLUTELY right and I think the vultures (or maybe cultures) are already eating each other. My fingers are crossed.

The last time I was at flag I was hit up by so many staff it was abhorrent. It included even auditors who’d wait outside the Examiner’s Room and pounce on me as I walked out. “Have you bought the newest book or lecture series?” “You need to up your status with the IAS”. “You can save income tax by donating for more service now”. Even had one staff member who my confessions had been shared with try to use them to get me to donate more. There is a “look in system” at Flag that records all sessions in audio and video. It is abundantly clear to me that Juicy stuff gets shared with the vultures.

I have personally witnessed a member who was suffering cancer be totally abandoned by the cult. No matter how many others I contacted pleading for help in giving assists no one came forward. NO ONE in 4 months. The member died and 2 cultists attended the funeral. One was an OSA goon probably there merely to ensure there was no flap. Yes the cult is only about the money. Don’t ever count on them for more.

Rant. Oh my friend. I could go off for days and days. So I understand you well.

Since I took complete responsibility for everything that I suffered over the years I was in I am now out and happier, healthier, more prosperous than ever before. So I applaud your advice on be, do and have. Totally agree 100%.

I know (or knew) personally only ONE person on that list, but I’d wager a hundred bucks that a third of them are 70+. Just a wild guess. 1/3rd minimum, 70 or over.

The cult eats its own. No new people are coming in. There are no “new public”, no “raw meat” walking in the doors. So the Still In vultures, whether staff, Sea Org or public, are constantly on the roam, searching for other Still Ins in good standing who will, at least, listen to them. They prey upon one another. Spotting any vulnerability, any weakness, any trust, they swoop down to eat, before the carcass is even fully dead. Then spit out the dead remains, and move on. They have no one but one another upon which to feed. Vultures are now eating vultures. And the food supply is dwindling. One day, when there’s nothing left to eat, they’ll show up at their disconnected families’ doorsteps, tearful, begging, whining, full of blame, self pity and excuses. A word of advice from someone not emotionally involved with any of these vultures who were once human beings: When this happens – and it will – don’t mistake the colossal act you’ll be treated to as “love” or true contrition. Just don’t. Help them, of course – you love them, after all, and always will. But don’t be fooled. They’ll need money from you. Inside they’ll be hating themselves AND you for what they’ve been reduced to.

And make no mistake; they’re hoping for your demise now. Yes that’s right, you Disconnected From Ones! They’re counting on it.

Your bad luck, your illness, your insolvency, your unhappiness and overall misfortune. Why? Because this will make them RIGHT for disconnecting from you.

Any failure you have after they’ve dumped you will give them perfect justification in saying, “Poor Mom! Poor Dad! (Sis/bro/friend/spouse) Wouldn’t, couldn’t be handled! Refused to do their A to E! And NOW look!
Look at ________’s condition NOW! Broke/sick/alone/unhappy/dead! What a shame! Well, I TRIED. I TRIED to get ______ to come back to Scientology. I did my best! But in the end I couldn’t let ______bring me down! I HAD to disconnect!”

So, look, DON’T MAKE THESE BASTARDS RIGHT!
