Yes – but if you read his work those are clearly positions he does not agree with – or at the very least that he did not promote (the opposite in fact). I’m not defending him or his actions just to be clear.

I mean the comics are fantastical – they do involve a fair bit of psychological drama so maybe you have a point but Gaiman clearly wove some beautiful narratives with some obvious skill. Dude is a monster – that’s clear now – but there is no point denying his obvious talent.

I’ve seen first hand some standard Scientology defences (‘False Memories’) to the very serious allegations against him; though unfortunately his Scientology connections seem to have been dismissed in the current coverage.

You are right. Thank you. I was never aware of the Scientology connection so I’m doing a deep dive now. We can now wonder how many of his writings were “inspired” by what he saw and heard growing up. Oof.

Most people I think sadly initially decide guilt or innocence based on their feelings for someone, not the evidence.

I do not know what evidence exists to support or refute the allegations.
