I’d suggest being a bit less confrontational and sensational, which among other things actually tends to be more effective.

A fair, but pointed and revealing, question would be to ask him first if he’s an FSM and getting the commissions Scientology offers on signing people up for services costing hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars – if so, he should be revealing that and might even be required by the terms of the board to do so (it could constitute paid compensation, if not commercial solicitation).

That could segue into pointing out to readers that Scientology gets very expensive very quickly, but is not forthcoming about that (among other things, like the contracts you have to sign). Their track record of ruining people financially, and the Garcias’ lawsuit, would be relevant at that point. That might well be enough to say, and you could finish off by providing links to critical information, including books and media.

Good post Aqua. Couldn’t agree more. Hubbard’s general disdain for any organization other than Scientology, ….mad dog press, IRS criminals, the stupid “medico’s”, etc etc and of course the evil whole track Pysch bad guys (give me a break) didn’t do much for Scientology PR. Another advice of Hubbard’s (ignore the media) applied to their own direct detriment. There are times I wonder if following Hubbard isn’t worse than what Miscavige has been doing on his own. Combined they seem to be an effective pair at destroying the very thing they were/are trying to save.

“It feels like maybe at some deep psychological level, David Miscavige keeps firing all these foot bullets because he wants to fail, or he knows his true identity is naked to the world so he wants to speed up his demise.” ……..I’ve wondered the same. I do not think it’s too far a stretch to assume Miscavige has an end game in mind. He may have turned into a sociopath along the way but he’s demonstrated guile and determination. Clearly he has no real regard for Hubbard and is running his own agenda, much the same as Trump has no real regard for this country or it’s traditions. So many people have given so much of their lives and assets toward the idea of Scientology gaining a foothold in this society, only to see all that squandered by a man who clearly has no real concern or personal interest. The stat graphs don’t lie and Miscavige know’s the real story. If he cared about Scientology he would have resigned a long time ago. He would have put the goals of Scientology ahead of his own. Clearly the cult as lost most of it’s membership and that seems to suit David Miscavige just fine. Why the remaining Scientologist’s refuse to recognize his level of treason is fascinating in itself. One day this will make one hell of a movie.
