Its marketing bro. in real life they are exhausted. and they look it.

No gorillavee. it’s that only a VERY small % of people end up falling for such scams. AND, word DOES get out quickly. In a BAD way. By the mid-70’s you’d be surprised how many EDUCATED people already knew of the scam.

“… but no one was there to “prepare to deliver” once the demand was created.” Reminds me of the NY Org when the order came down for an All Hands to cover the city of New York – all five boroughs!…and take orders for DMSMH. NY, up to that time, had been in what seemed to be a never ending Power trend, recognized by LRH as the first org to ever be in power day AND foundation. So we yanked everyone off, sent everyone out with order pad in hand to cover every book store in all five borough. (I doubt we got them all!) But we took order for thousands of books, while crashing our stats totally.) Then we found out that the books had never been planned for nor printed! Sheer, utter stupidity.

in Canada in the 80’s, it was a given there would be no pay. We got paid once every few months, and then it might cover a burger. Sometimes we’d get on a roll and get a few fivers a couple weeks in a row. A bunch of staff were on welfare – they called it, “the government grant”. Scamming was OK cuz, y’a know, saving the planet and stuff.
