Feel free to harm a person that you judge is NOT of goodwill? Who gets to decide who is of goodwill and who is not of goodwill?

Isn’t that exactly the rule that the terrorists are following anyway? They judge us to be attacking them and to be against their extreme religious views, so according to the precept it is perfectly acceptable to harm us.

The reality of course is that Hubbard also wrote policies encouraging people to be attacked (his enemies), so he could hardly outright forbid people being harmed. His definition of “goodwill” was goodwill towards him.

It reminds me of the nonsense in the “Code of Honor”:

“Never fear to hurt another in a just cause” – WTF? Sounds like a terrorist code of honor.

“Never withdraw allegiance once granted” – why the hell not? I’m allowed to change my mind – everyone is!

“Never desert a group to which you owe your support.” – who decides whether I owe my support? Oh yes, Hubbard does.

Of course, if there were not money to made by fundraising, they would not even bother to print or to distribute the booklets. I would think that even a non-Scientologist Parisian who was unfortunate enough to receive one these booklets would quickly conclude “How is this going to help our friends and our nation to recover?” This effort to extend a helping hand is pretentious.

Hi clearlypissedoff, Thank you for your post. What happened to you and yours resonated greatly for me. My feeling did I love Ron and his family with a total burning desire to be in the Sea Org forever? Yes I did. Then why did I blow? Because I found out the hard way, white hats do turn black and sometimes never turn back. This was part of Ron’s World too, and from what I gather here David’s as well.I understand as much as I can from your post how all that happened affected you. Same thing for me. The echoes are lessening but I still have nightmares of my last months in Sea Org. Not fun. Love, Ann.
