I remember Jojo – she was rather skinny when I knew her. I remember on the Apollo she was the PC examiner for a while. I went along to her after session and she had put her meter on to charge. Ah. Thank you for that. I thought I was the only one who thought JoJo was a whack job. In my case, my distaste for her originated not from her Facebook antics (the bitch can’t see my friends list anyway, and she’s certainly no friend of mine), but her gawd-awful blatherings (“art”) and her own self-importance about it. As an artist, I find bad art and a big head an unpleasant combination. Of course, I find her need to police others reprehensible, but even long before that I didn’t like her.

It’s one thing to make bad art, but quite another to make bad art and think you’re hot shit with a cherry on top. And by bad art, I don’t mean something I don’t like – I don’t care for Bartok’s music but I think it’s goddamned good art. Bad art is not children at a recital who haven’t quite got their instruments learned yet or who write halting poetry in their journals.
