I was under COMM-EV after writing a KR on COCMO Ship Jennifee Rostig Alpers. MY SENIOR WAK ALLCOCK
CHIEF ENGINEER AND 1ST ENGINEER ON THE APOLLO WAS BEING THREATENED WITH SP DECLARE FOR NOT HAVING ENOUGH SPARE PARTS ON BOARD TO REPAIR ANYTHING THAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG WITH ANY MACHINE IN THE ENGINE.ROOM. THIS WOULD HAVE COST MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT A TIME WHEN WE COULD NOT AFFORD FUEL AND WATER. THEY WANTED TO SHOOT A HARD WORKING OFFICER WHO WAS DOING A FINE JOB AND USED ARC TO GET THE JOB DONE.
AFTER HE WAS REMOVED I KNEW THAT MY DEMISE WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME. My demise (almost) took another 8 years. When I was sent off to die Wak and Deputy Captain Paul McElveen were in good health. NOW THEY ARE BOTH DEAD.
The last year I was there Paul McElveen worked around the clock for weeks just before Maiden Voyage. I had worked all night when I was told to help him recarpet the Bridge as DM was arriving at noon. We got the job done and then, with his product gotten Mr McElveen spent the entire Maiden Voyage in the ship’s hospital.
They should have given him a posthumous promotion to the rank of LOYAL OFFICER. But, you say we can’t do that, he would outrank DM.
IS DM AFRAID OF THE DEAD?
Maybe he should be with the straight up and vertical stat of destroyed or dead SO members.
The motto of the SO is WE COME BACK.
DM had better hope that we don’t. The last message I left with Freewinds reception was simply
I’LL BE BACK
