Every time I get involved with helping others and don’t read this blog for a few days and then come back to it again and read what is going on in the COS, I say “Wow”. Or, more accurately, “Huh?”
I remember when one used to go into a Church of Scientology and they were doing… guess what? Scientology of all things! Auditing people! Teaching people how to audit others!
So then I read about the crap that is going on in the “church” today and I think, once again in a new unit of time, “What the f— is going on here?”.
It is just sobizarre that these people have corrupted the original purpose of enhancing the lives of others into something as shallow as “fundraising” without exchanging the services. And then they get lauded as “Superheroes”??
“Super-circlejerkers” would be more accurate.
If a scene like this was found to be going on a few years ago when orgs were a bit more on-policy and in-tech, these jokers would have been comm eved in a New York minute.
But these days the cancer has already metastasized from DM to infect the whole system.
To anyone still “in” I advise: Best bet is to give oneself a churchectomy and get on with the original purpose of improving and enhancing lives.

Thegman77 — you’re right, it is alive and well in the Indies. Yet, it was alive and well in 1972 when I got in, and everything about SCN – its people, its tech, its spiritual presence, were all evolving, and becoming something very cool. Now … it’s all just glitz. An expensive boondoggle, where empty rooms wait expectantly and the ghosts of old staff walk the halls at night, wondering what went wrong.

Sorry — it’s just my lament for what could have been, slipping through. I saw such potential, felt it for years. Now, all of this altered activity is just a warped version of Groundhog Day. Each morning at 6:00 am, the members of the Valley OTC awaken and start their new day as they ended their last, thinking – why is it never enough?

Deduction: Money is the most important item in all of Scientology.

I sure hope the IRS is getting a copy of every fundraising and “international demand for gross income” promo pieces, emails, and notes.

In reply to Bobbo. Indeed a terrific book. And I'm now well into another book by Dr. David R. Hawkins, author of "Power Versus Force: The Stairway to Enlightenment," a marvelous work. This one is subsequent to that but includes the same "scale of entlightenment", similar to Hubbards "tone scale". A very worthy read, IMHO

Wrong! The NOI mosque #27 that Scientology built and named the Inglewood
Community Center is the solution for youth in the LA area. Check out the video of
the para-military girls group which was filmed in the hall there.

In reply to hei88008. Archie 10, There are plenty of places to go to do “critical examinations” of LRH. Lana and Milestone Two don’t have any obligation to anyone to be “open to all viewpoints”. I support Lana’s decision to create a place for those who are tired of the LRH bashers and tech haters. It's her blog and it will either survive or fail on its own terms. ESMB will give you all kinds of room to voice your opinion on how bad LRH was and how worthless Scientology is. Does Milestone Two have to become another ESMB?
