Hi Out About, Good to meet you. I am a clueless one in certain web stuff everyone else knows in their sleep! But hey, I'm an old geezerette! So I asked The Oracle what Photoshopping was about was helped out in that direction.I saw the shot as a strange fading watercolor mood piece not knowing if the dude was asleep or on Target 2! Those Apollo stars, but I digress. So I did not get the joke but if Roger said it is hilarious then I'm in. Here is some warm moist Gulf Stream air for you.I love Canada, beautiful scenery.Love,Ann

Sorry, not protesting - was a bad joke after waaaay too much coffee. The joke was that there were no attendees so they photoshopped one in. Have been following Mr. Rinder's blog for some time and have deep respect for what he's doing.
Stay warm!

I'm not an expert. Know very little about it. I think you can alter photos. But you can't alter something that does not exist. There has to be something there to alter. If there is no crowd in the photo it could not have been altered. I've been told (many times) I lack imagination, so perhaps the person protesting about the photo is more gifted than I.

Hi The Oracle,Yes, when I posted Mike that the Starlight photo is creepy and unsettling to me, one of the reasons was the abscence of an audience save one.Only I would ask this question but I am clueless as to Photoshopping. Is that where one goes online and purchases photos to superimpose on theirs? And this is only a guess on my part.Laughter!Love U, Ann.

I'm in agreement with your theory Aquamarine. Contrary to most assumptions we have no control over what we believe to be true. We automatically believe what makes sense to us even when it contradicts what we PREFER to believe. The impersonal discriminating function operates independently from the personal emotional one. When people talk about how truth has a "ring" to it, that's because the higher impersonal function recognizes truth.

I say, not only do scientologists know there's something amiss with their church, but they also believe the "entheta" things they've heard. They don't want to believe them but since believing and not believing aren't matters of choice, it becomes necessary to deny, or "not is" them. What the critics say have the ring of truth. The higher function recognizes it and the emotional function (ego?) either works as a servant of the higher function and moves to explore the truth, or it hijacks the mental operation and protects its personal interests at the expense of the whole through denial. It's a matter of being habituated through practice to go with rationality or emotionalism. This is a way of explaining the classic conflict we all have known within ourselves. It works for me.

When I was 12 years old I spent a year in the Mission District in San Francisco (ghetto). I used to go to the trash room in the apartment building and look for things to fix up and reuse. I found a small television set one day, took it back to the apartment. It had no picture but you could listen. Like a radio. Perry Mason was on and it was a Tuesday night a little after 7 P.M.. I fell in love. For the rest of the time I spent there I was parked in my bedroom with that television on every Tuesday night at 7 P.M..I was in love.
