OSD. Yeah. I will be with a few friends at the Rockabilly Beach Bar taking a few drinks. Let meet there when you are done with surfing.

One day, perhaps we will all meet! The food IS/WAS good….my husband, son, daughter, son in law had a great day……maintaining “social distance” as best as we could.

Any time we go “out” we use a mask….we have health issues so it’s imperative we do so. Trying to get by day by day & hoping everyone on the blog is safe & healthy.

One day we’ll have to discuss out surfing days……I “long boarded hanging ten” for many years off Long Island, Fire Island, Florida…& once in Hawaii at Diamond Head where my board was clipped “shooting the curl” by another surfer. We both survived (a big surprise to my friends waiting on the beach who said “we thought you were dead”……AHHH…I surprised even myself & walked away without a scratch….on the total OPPOSITE END of where I’d paddled out to ride that ONE TIME magnificent wave!

So much for taking risks…..I was referred to as “the Dolphin Whisperer”…..but that’s another story….

Dear Friend Jere,

Nothing pleases me more than to KNOW that you are FREE…..Yes recovery is so damned hard. When I worked for Social Services a group of us were trying to help a young lady who left FLDS…we got her a place to stay, food, clothes, got her into school for a GED.

After a few months she OPTED OUT & went back to FLDS…she could not bear to leave what she had lived her entire life….her mother, siblings, life. Despite all the work, time, effort, understanding & financial assistance…she couldn’t do it.

We heard through a “contact” as soon as she went back “in”…she was REMOVED from her mother’s home & sent to an undisclosed location. She was then “given to an older man in marriage” as his bride & pregnant right away.

So sad…..heartbreaking.

For you to breathe fresh air, be surrounded by GOOD caring people & having FREEDOM…nothing better! Stay well, stay happy stay free.

OSD, isn’t it GREAT that our inability to remember doesn’t degrade the quality of our lives one bit? And it’s even better that Thursday at 2PM don’t mean squat. (unless that’s when my next doctor’s appointment is, of course.) Stats?? MY primary one is how many times I smooched my gorgeous girl in the last day. She loves ensuring that that stat’s always in Affluence. 😉
