You’re right Aquamarine. The OT VII’s have more and more being stacked up on their plates such as: Must hold a post on the OTC, must be a Patron or above with IAS, must recruit two others to start on OT VII, must help rehab and get back on the Bridge others who have been off a long time. And these look good in their ethics file, or if they are doing Lowers, saying you activated a long off the Bridge person gets them out of Lowers. And all of these extras are done in addition to their 4 to 6 sessions a day and working to earn the money for the squirrel Sec Checks each 6 months. Many OT VII’s I talked to who are off the level are very relieved to be off the level.

I was at the Flag examiner’s after session and was getting frustrated that the examiner didn’t call the F/N. Finally she called it and then said to me, “Don’t worry; it takes longer at the examiners now that they changed the definition of an F/N.” Actually said that.

I was ‘in” for a long time, most of it on staff in one form or another…at the start the method used to motivate was purpose: the idea that we had an answer and could help, duty and purpose were used. later the method used was force, ordering, demanding and sometimes yelling for compliance…then towards the end, the method used was the one described above, to manipulate and guilt the person into doing something. When I first heard it used I was floored,; such an obviously covert means to gain support…I mean there is covert hostility clear as a bell…what fuckers…anyone who would try to get people to agree to something this way are people I dont want to be around…so when I heard this, it was the last straw for me and I decided finally to get the hell out of dodge…

Yes, this blows my mind too, that the Student Hat course will come AFTER the Basics – the Basics, with all that whole-track stuff, with the PDCs. Talk about out-gradient.

statpush, in His “mind” He has to do that because HE “broke” it, and the stats are down because of HIM.. So, while He claims the stats are up, He at the same time KNOWS the stats are DOWN and and suspects that we also know that the stats are down, and this missed-withold phenomena never gets handled so He obsessively continues to convince everyone that everything was actually no good BEFORE but is getting better NOW because of HIM, and – is your head spinning? It just occurred to me that there could be a study tech reason for those still-ins being so blind to outpoints, in that they’ve been doing the Basics for years now, which is all theory and no practical, and with no real necessity to clear words in order to pass the course. They could be riddled with MUs, actually, and as LRH states, they can cause “a vast panorama of mental effects”. I myself have experienced the truth of this but then I have a great deal of word-clearing tech under my belt, including KTL, and MUs really do leap up at me, and its a very ordinary action now for me to simply spot them and get them cleared up. At the very least, if I don’t get them cleared up, I know what they are.

Jane, I did Student Hat in the early 90s, before GAT I came out, and didn’t have to do it twice at that time.
