Desperate Times

April 15, 2015 By Mike Rinder 101 Comments

Crazy-Pulling-Out-My-Hair

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

This is the “2X St Hill Size” LA Org. Desperate to get anyone onto the Purif with a “one week sprint game” offering to give free training plus commissions.

Not the message of a booming org. This is the message of an org that has had a short term surge with 200 Sea Org members injected into it, and is now in decline and they are in a panic…

If you’ve missed this, I’ve been saying it for years…but WOW is it coming true now:
TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK: Time is on **our** side!

Note: I started saying that way back in the early 2000’s when Lies were being posted about me on the Net, DAILY for months and months, year after year. Also, Fair Game was being used on me by flattening my tires, putting out lies to ALL of my neighbors (which thankfully my next door neighbor went around and picked up :)”Someone” broke off my rear view mirror and sprayed 1/2 of it pink. (Pep Boys said: “It’s the Church of Scientology”. I asked, “How do you know?” He said: “You have a great radio—a gang would have taken that+ stuff in the back seat”. On and on they went, calling me, never answering. Just endless BS. As Jesse Prince told me when I asked about it: “It’s called psychological war fair, they’re trying to drive you insane”.

In 2006 Marty posted a “For Your Eyes Only” 25 step program that had been written to “Muzzle Tory” by Sliming me (Black PR-lies-falsehoods posted) on the Net, with the Media and “Get her fired from her job”. EPIC FAIL on each count. But I started posting due to this: Tick Tock, Tick Tock: Time IS on *our* side. Few were speaking out with their full names back then. My view was the more that left (a few/year then) the more would speak out. The more that spoke out—the more would wake up. And OH BOY has that come true!! 🙂 🙂

Tory, the tick, tock started about the time those (in the USA) who were born ~1955 grew up. At that point, the New people into Scn dove steeply. That was the last demographic that latched onto Scn in any number. It was in decline when you (Tory B.) were doing OT levels on Berendo St.

(BTW, I laughed SO hard the first time I heard that the Church said YOU were an SP.) Talk about ridiculously wrong labeling and targeting!

John, well, the decline of $cientology is different than my starting to say “Tick Tock…” which was DIRECTLY *to* David Miscavige and ops working with him, due to the Fair game they were doing on myself and others. I think I began saying it sometime after they put up the flat out lies about me on RFW in the mid 2000’s. I kept telling “dave” and gang: “Karma IS going to come your way, tick tock….” When Tom Cruise jumped on O’s couch and told Matt Lower he did not know the source of psychiatry, “I DO”….I went BINGO! I did TONS of interviews, both TV and radio, after that.

Finally in 2008 Anonymous hit….and the doors came flying open. Those were truly historic days.
This documentary, “Going Clear Scientology & The Prison of Belief” has been a second kicking open for the average public where people can finally SEE and HEAR the truth. It’s been amazing to hear the effects that has had, thank GOODNESS!

And FTR: I never did any “OT” levels on Berendo. I was at CC, and did my 1st “OT” level at Flag, thanks to David Mayo. (Another long, but very cool story). 😀

Thanks for your story about hearing about my being declared SP. Who told you? I’ve heard there are now tons of lies floating around about me. How weird, how totally weird.

A couple of weeks ago an LA Org contracted staff member who stayed after the SO takeover told me that pay has greatly improved and s/he is treated much better now than before. S/he was very gung ho now and felt that the SO takeover has brought about real Scientology.

We have seen this pattern before in Org management: Apparent short-term improvement, followed by decline, then struggling to remain solvent. This FSM I/C letter seems to indicate that LA Org is already slipping into the decline phase. Since there are so few active parishioners and recruiting new ones is so difficult now, this pattern plays out more quickly than in the past.

External pressure generated by all of the bad PR and truth revealed is causing Scientology management to quite some of the abusive practices and put on a kinder, friendlier face. Miscavige will sabotage any gains from these “improvements” with his rabid lunatic response to critics. There may be little blips of giddiness inside the bubble, but it’s all downhill from here.

What was that called? (I’m so thrilled when I cannot remember this BS that was drilled into me so hard, for so many years). Was it “Saint Hill Size”? Anyways, a few got it, no one got the full Bridge that I ever heard of. One more Con, run by “dave”.

Hey…if you have where I can upload some photos, I have some great ones of “dave’s” pad in Hollywood and the RAZOR WIRE behind it. (If not, check on Tory Christman Fb—the photos are there). 🙂 Religion?MY ASS.

My major point to OT VIII friends in 1988 was that Scientology was worth ten cents
on the dollar. Oddly enough, I had some mild agreement. No wonder Miscavige
trashed the anti-Christ Bulletin. But here he is today trying to get $300 an hour for
sitting in a sauna. He had to unbundle the cult into small, expensive sections.
That’s the only way you never get to reach the top.

I’m sure they could stretch it out to 12 weeks or more in the sauna instead of the two weeks from the non-GAT days. That way the Org would look fuller and they would hopefully get more money out of the sweaty chumps. Of course, a few of them might die or get their livers destroyed, but then they would have “pulled it in” and is nothing to do with the Tech being dangerous crap.

    Mike,

Ever since the article months ago wherein you informed us of the combining of LA day and Foundation into one AOLA, and of the infusion of 200 SO into this place, I’ve been anticipating a follow up article like this. Miscavige’s handling didn’t handle the Why, Jesus, it didn’t even address the Why. What it “handled” was the El Floppo bad PR for the time being. But now here they are with Day and Fnd combined (a suppressive act per LRH but lets not quibble), with the whole Clamworld dinged in on what a terrific thing this was, with a huge staff, and the inevitable low stats. I’m assuming they are low because even I was contacted to come there. Stats have to be crashed for AOLA to be regging bitter defrocked types such as myself. I wonder how Miscavige will paper over this stunning AOLA failure.

Funny, I received a very nice letter from an Org that I used to FSM for just yesterday. It seemed out of the blue since they hadn’t communicated to me on this line for a while now. Oh well.

I was wondering if Kirstie Alley is going to help save the day by going back on The Howard Stern Show and use her charming, unfiltered self to go “unfiltered” about Scientology. Don’t really see that ever happening and it will hard for her to go back on that show (which she’s done twice in the last year or so) call people liars and deny the OTIII story that Howard Stern described in detail on his show a few days ago. He saw Going Clear and has been mentioning it on his show. Personally I’d like to see Kirstie try, and would love to listen to Howard take phone calls from listeners while she’s on. But that would probably be close to ever seeing Miscavige testify in a courtroom.

BTW, I never took any money from FSM commissions. The commissions always went back into other projects, like Basics, Congresses, etc. because I never did it for the money anyway.

Empty promises by an empty head. If you could buy the ‘engrams’ and the ‘thetan’ stuff, you might believe that ‘promise’. I love the ‘where are the papers from Dave Miscavage’s comm ev’ comment.

The purif is one clam ‘service’ that can be done on any clam. at any time. No study, no word clearing, no clay models no heavy exercise is needed. Just drink fluids and take the massive vitamin doses. At 5 to 7k a person, it is one of the lowest overhead ‘services’ the clampire offers. You’ll know the end of scam is near when your local purif sauna is closed for repairs and you have to go to some higher level mOrg to sweat. There are always more regs at the higher level mOrg.

If the purif push doesn’t result in some healthy profits for LA mOrg, what will happen? I expect some Sea bOrg will be pushing peanuts along L Ron Hubbard Way. Soon the RPF will be full of bOrg who just happen to be downstat. That was always a ‘crime’ in the clampire, even under Hubbard.

Many comments here about people being telephoned. I think the advent of cell phones has put a hurt on the Church as well. People signing up with ATT@T for a year, then TMobile etc etc. Changing companies frequently for better rates, newer phones, or better service. The call in list must be down to a few reliable numbers. With on line bill pay and banking, snail mail addresses must also be slim. In another year or so, Mr. David Miscavige Sir The Greatest may need to pay P.I.’s to find prospects instead of stalking.

Unless of course, for only 15K a week he can retain someone like me, and my assistant, a qualified veterinarian, to microchip existing members and their families and employees, starting next week. Find and seek out people who once bought a service or a book, using social media and other people search sites.

There never was an actual number. PR folks just picked fantasy numbers out of the air and they “stuck”. Back then media had no real way of checking such things and simply accepted a number…and published it. Other media, having no way to check, either, simply copied what they found in the earlier article(s). If enough of the media used the same number(s), it became “true”.

Has anyone experienced an increase in calls from the orgs?

Last week my husband (never in Scientology) was called and practically had to yell at the lady to leave him alone…she was pressing with every possible question to find a way to contact me, my ex-husband and our kids (now adults). He told her to pound sand.

Yesterday I guess they figured out how to find my daughter Sophie who is off in college in Northern California.

A woman told her “they’ve reformed the whole church so her documented experience (which she said looked like it wasn’t good or right) isn’t a good idea of what the church is really about.”

Sophie said, “not interested” but woman wanted to send her a DVD asking for her address. Sneaky-sneaky. Thankfully she didn’t give it to them.

Sophie said she seemed like a nice person but totally “lost”. Said the call came from a call-center type of place so she couldn’t block it.

I told her the next time anyone calls, let them know it is OK to leave, that any contract she signed is not binding legally and that there are a lot of good people outside the church that can help her get on her feet again. I hope I’m right about that.

As they get desperate – I would like to have a good quick reply to give them to help them think straight about what is happening.

Wondering if anyone else has had success with an easy to understand, caring yet effective reply to the church “call-in” people.

It’s typical for the church to reform once whistleblowers take effect – no more enforced abortions, no more beating people up. I wouldn’t be surprised at all (since the mass exodus of parishioners) that the church would start to be nice to them again, maybe even actually “handle” their grievances rather than throw them in ethics or a sec check for having a grievance.

The “reformed church” is referring to services being GATII. That is what is being promoted. That now everything is better, streamlined, cleaned up, faster. This is the current speak and is used to convince people to get back on line, and do all the “new” services.

When you reported that the caller said, ““they’ve reformed the whole church so her documented experience (which she said looked like it wasn’t good or right) isn’t a good idea of what the church is really about.” What a laugh. They are trying to counter the bad publicity for the church by saying in essence, “we used to be bad but we reformed and now we’re better…. come on in!” Pathetic.

I had an interesting discussion the other day regarding the survival of the RCS.
This was put forward to me hypothetically: but what if miscavige operated from a 3rd world country rather than the US? He’s got enough money to buy influence in any number of “needy” governments.
I thought on that and realised, what a horrible dark thought. The RPF would probably be a death sentence – if you didn’t tow the line, you’d simply disappear. The surveillance of your more troublesome critics would probably be through a telescopic sight and all sorts of “squads” would materialise to keep your flock nice and happy.
I truly recognised miscavige in his native state if he didn’t have social restrictions to deal with his perceived enemies.
There is no such thing as reform of the RCS with the current system in place to have absolute power in the hands of an individual. I have always maintained (and was severely ridiculed and judged an SP) for my belief that the SO was the gravest mistake Hubbard ever made. Uniformed, military style chain of command organisations are a dangerous wild card and need all sorts of controls to keep them in line. Just ask any Fijian or Thai middle class businessman about military style leadership and profits/freedoms.
Miscavige is a vicious thug and it is a remarkable phenomena of civilised life in the most powerful country/society on the planet that he is allowed to hold a position of power under the guise of religion.

The same thing happened to all of my kids. They would “find out” where they were, even though their father and I weren’t telling them. I used to say: Give me your message/phone number and I will pass it on. If X wants to call you he/she will.

A few of them were recruited / stalked over a period of years and wanted no further communication.

One of my kids noted all of the org numbers, and blocked all of the numbers on the cell. One day he goes, Check this out, and shows me this long list of numbers!

Last night I accidentally answered the a call and boy was that a mistake to call me. “When can you come in for an appointment?” she asks. Right. I unloaded about the abuses, philosophical dreams and the clown that is the helm. Certainly hoping the dear gal fell asleep last night questioning her allegiance even if for only a moment.

      Hi Userfornow:

As a never-in I suspect that this type of response to cold calls from COS perennials probably has a huge impact. They are phoning you to figure out why you are not there to partake in the greatest growth that ever hit the church and you blast them with your personal experience. Even a cold hearted money grubber can’t escape that message. The nice thing is they don’t need to report that they went on the internet to test the public opinion about what’s happening. Of course they will in due course, The smart ones will figure it out and Miscavige’s remaining drones will…. well drone on is probably the best way to put it.

I think I understand. There are people who don’t show up for events or pick up the phones so you can’t reg’em for donations. Yet, they still have some desire that hasn’t been totally trampled on by the constant reg’ing. But if you get these people on services then they are coming in regularly and daily for The Purif. Meaning you have a good chance to reg’em for donations with a solid communication line!! “Hey, buddy” slap to the back! The Purif is the perfect course for modern Scientology since the reg has hours everyday to slowly boil that toad!!

So let’s take stock. LA Org is desperate for people to do one of the lowest actions on the Bridge. ASHO isn’t delivering the Saint Hell Stupid Bullshit Course, its primary function. All of AOLA’s OTs have been poached by Flag. Two hundred Sea Borg had to be imported to try to keep LA Org functional. Chel and Mel were exiled to Pasadena. And Valley Org can’t go Ideal despite the channeling of money from Fox, led by the hostile and downstat Rupert Murdoch, via NANCY CARTWRIGHT BART SIMPSON.

All of this in the largest concentration of Scientologists on Earth. Looks like Signs Of Success to me. Signs Of Success for us Antis, that is.

I’m sure he’s starting to feel persecuted. It’s too bad it won’t end up like this:

St-timothy From Gore Vidal’s satirical novel, Live From Golgotha, 1992.

The Gospel According to Gore Vidal is told mostly from the standpoint of St. Timothy, who tries to make sense out of matters when several TV networks from the 1990s start bending the laws of space-time and compete for exclusive rights to broadcast the Crucifixion…live! But their meddling is having some weird effects on Christian history.

Because of the old doctrine “to the Jews first,” Saint [Paul] always made a courtesy call on every synagogue in every town we came to that had one. At first there would be a lot of chuckles and Call-me-Sols, and a bad lunch. Then he’d be invited to say a few words and before you could say “Holy Moses” they would be hitting him over the head with sticks. They never did buy the bad news that the late Jesus ben Nazareth, known to us Greeks as the King or Christ, was really the messiah that the Jews have been hanging around all these years waiting for.

“The point is,” Saint would say when I’d be bandaging him up after one of his sessions with his former co-religionists, “you never know when or where you’ll make a convert.” Yet when Saint started out, he and James agreed that they would more or less divvy up the mission. Saint would look after the foreskin set while James, with some help from Peter the Rock-thick, would sell the good news about Judgment Day to the Jews. Then Peter moved on to Rome where he was a great success socially; he was even something of a favorite of the Emperor Nero, who thought Peter, and I quote the emperor directly, “the funniest act ever booked into the Palatine.”

There is an intense interest in Scientology in Switzerland.

I say that because when I used Alexa(dot)com to check the stats on The Underground Bunker’s traffic a few weeks ago something like 10% of the traffic came from the land of Alphorns and chocolate, which I didn’t expect to swe. The %s from Australia and the U.K. are somewhat more explainable, unless there is some tradition of watching organizations break up and disappear that dates back to the formation of the Swiss Confederation all those centuries ago.

Just checked this site, it gets 13% from Switzerland, with a ranking in Switzerland an order of magnitude greater than that for America or Germany, respectively.

One can see all that here:

Totally predictable. How many times have we all seen this play out over the years. A sea org mission is fired off to handle a situation, usually some sort of ‘down stat’ problem (translated: not enough money coming in) and ‘stats’ miraculously boom. Temporarily. It’s always the same. There are some yelling and screaming asshole missionaires that don’t really bother to look and see what is really going on but they put the fear of Xenu into the entire staff, maybe a head or two on a pike and ‘stats’ go up until they leave. Of course, if the yelling and screaming assholes would have stayed around the stats would go down anyway regardless of their presence. They always do. ‘Admin tech’ is just as bogus as ‘the tech’. It has to be, otherwise scientology organizations would be an unstoppable force. Instead of being an unstoppable force they find themselves in a position of not being able to stop themselves from completely asinine actions that make them look like the total fools that they are. Any of us who have been in for any length of time know this because WE HAVE DONE THESE THINGS OURSELVES. Gawd I’m glad I’m out.

Back in the late 60s at the NY Org, there came a SO mission called “Mission International Books”. The org had recently been declared by LRH in Power, day and foundation. The SO mission took EVERY staff member off post to sell DMSMH, stats crashed, but a lot of books were (pre) sold to bookstores in all five boroughs. We found out later that the books had never been printed. And they were never delivered. LOL

What a waste of some good intentioned people – some staff still believe they are helping and, actually, DO want to help.
But, I guess is better if the orgs shrink and eventually cease to be for the sake of not harming new public and with the hope that the staff, someday, somehow, will get to change to better conditions.

So many of these rag tag orgs are pushing the Purif for easy money in an effort to survive. The cost is thousands of dollars per person. The delivery consists of having the person sit in a sauna 5 hours a day
while eating a handful of vitamins. The Purif takes about 2 weeks to complete. Basically the person is spending about $200 – $300 a day to sit in the sauna. A couple of low level staff can deliver to dozens of public at a time. The problem with L.A. Org is you need a lot of people on the Purif to pay for the 200 Sea Org staff running around writing reports on each other while getting minimal sleep, nutrition and allowance.

I received a call from the Coarse Admin at LA Org a few days ago. It was looking for my son who has not lived here for over three years. Wanted to know “Is Phil there?” I said no, can I take a message? It said “whats his phone number?” I said “who’s asking?”. It said, “Coarse Admin, LA Org…..how can I reach him?”
I said, “Leave me your name and a phone no. and I’ll try and get it to him.” It said, “How are you going to do that?” I said, “I’m going to write it on a piece of paper and route it.” It said… ” I need to talk to him NOW.” I said, “I’ll do what I can, do you have a name and number?” It said ” Do you know where he is?” I said “Not at the moment, what course is he on?” It said ” Student Hat, I’ll try later.”

I received another call yesterday on my message machine but the gal was talking so fast I could not understand a word. Just as well.

If they keep bothering you or anyone else. I have simple suggestion, learn how to setup selective call forwarding and then forward their calls back to the Org’s listed number. Google maps will tell you the number. They’ll wonder if something is wrong with their phone system. Of course, if you’re weird you can pick any number you want like another org. Though you will be responsible for any long distance charges. I like to say it’s like a toilet that plumbed to the shower!

If your spouse is resistant to Scientology or doesn't want you to donate more money, Scientology officials will tell you that you’re PTS (potential trouble source) and that you need to disconnect from them.

There are many, many examples of this.
