Now, here is a new one.
A Buy Now based on doing the ON POLICY thing — for a short time only! Your Scientology SERVICE donations will be used for renos so ASHO can AGAIN become an Ideal Org….
Wonder if ASHO also will have a FART Div 6? When LA Org is right next door?
Somehow the importance of giving money to the org is NOT to get up the Bridge, it is apparently so the MEST can be made nicer.
Um, what social betterment programs? Study tech and Narcanon? Clearly Mgmt tech will not be an easy sell given the stellar success of DM's Idol Orgs.
What tech are they bringing to society? God, that is the most insane thing I've ever heard. If this is the current "think" then it won't be long before there are no more parishoners. After all they are superfluous. You'll have to become a black Muslem and join NOI to get Scn soon…
Hubbard is rolling in his grave. Or perhaps preparing an invasion fleet on Target 2 to take care of DM…
Since we've been talking about stats, I wanted to point out something which may have been overlooked. Some of you may have noticed the introduction of several new GDSes to the OIC. If memory serves, these new GDSes include: Ideal Org Donations Received, IAS Donoations Received, New IAS Statuses.
Those familiar with the Admin Scale will note that if the various points on the scale all have to be in alignment (e.g. Goals, Purposes, Products, Policy, Stats, etc). The introduction of new GDSes (all of which measure fundraising activities) to the OIC indicates changes in organized Scn's Admin Scale. When people say "Things are different", or "There have been a lot of changes in the church", or "It feels different", often they can't put their finger on it. I think what they are sensing is this covert change in the Admin Scale.
The introduction of these GDSes cements the change of direction for the church. So what impact does this have on the Goals and Purposes of organized Scn? Some time back I received promo from the Int Landlord Office stating (paraphrased) "It's no longer about clearing the individual, but bringing our tech to society through our social betterment programs." So, really any talk of "planetary clearing", in my opinion, is just lip service. Class V orgs are on their way to being simply information centres, maybe a lecure or two, or Basic Book courses that result in no abilities gained. Training auditors and auditing PCs is just too darn hard.

I don't hear much about the Birthday Game any more. When I was in, the big deal was to increase as many expansion-indicating stats as possible and by doing so earn points in the Birthday Game. The expansion was also supposed to lead an org to become Saint Hill Size, which never seemed to be well-defined, but if an org achieved it, a special group of SO auditors called the "Universe Corps" would settle in to the org and audit the staff on their OT levels for free. I believe that both ASHO orgs achieved this status around 2000. Problem is, to keep the Universe Corps the org had to maintain Saint Hill Size, and that was a much harder thing to do than to give a one-year all-out push to boost the stats.
Ideal Org mania started somewhere around ten years ago, and is based on a two-page 1970s document from Hubbard in which he stated what an Ideal Org is. For example, one of the attributes is that "It would be clean and attractive enough not to repel its public." How that got translated to "Make it a multi-million dollar monument to self-indulgence" I don't know, but I suspect I know who is behind the push.
Rick Mycroft says
According to the stats, Joburg is in the lead. From that report on the real conditions at that Idle Org, I'd take that with a big grain of salt. (Either that or the other orgs are even worse!)
What's a FART Div 6?
Mike Rinder says
Nick, It’s a term I coined — Fully Automated Robot TV — all that exists in Div 6es today in the era of “Ideal Orgs”
Rick Mycroft says
If I want to be ignored by rude, untrained and ignorant staff, I can hang out in the local department store. At least they have some good sales now and then.
Forgive this never-in for what might be a stupid question, but what exactly does a Saint Hill Org specialize in? I know that a Class V does the Bridge all the way up to Clear and Class VI auditor. An AO does the OT levels up to OTV and Class VIII auditor. For OTVII, auditor classes above VIII, and the Ls, you need to go to Flag. The SS Mesothelioma is reserved for OT VIII. So what do you have to go to a Saint Hill Org for that you can't get anywhere else?
No insult or sarcasm here. I'm just curious. What do I have to go to ASHO to get that can't be provided for me at the Chicago Org, where I can make Dominic's eyes start lighting up and dancing from the GI (seriously, Dominic has one of the worst cases of dead-eye syndrome I've ever seen)?
The study of the Saint Hill Special Briefing Course (SHSBC) as well as the auditing one needs in case they didn't go clear on New Era Dianetics (NED) such as Power and Pwer Plus. The SHSBC covers all the red, techical volumes and includes over 400 lectures.
Espiando: Class V Orgs can deliver services up through Cl V Auditor, and up to Clear, if the person goes Clear through Dianetics Auditing and the Org has the personnel to deliver what is know as the Clear Certainty Rundown, which verifies if the state of Clear was achieved through Dianetics. However, not all people go Clear through Dianetics and there is an "alternate route" to Clear that involves other processes (Power, Power Plus, R6EW and the Clearing Course). What a Saint Hill org specializes in are: 1) The Saint Hill Special Briefing Course, which results in a Class VI auditor, and is also the single longest training course in Scientology consisting of a Chronological study of the Books and all the Technical Bulletins plus over 400 specific lectures of LRH from his orginal Briefing Course: 2) Part of the Alternatve Route to Clear, i.e. Power and Power Plus processing, and it can also deliver Part One of the Solo Auditor Course as the next level up on the alternate route (R6EW) is a solo auditing affair (but R6EW itself must be gotten from the AO). It can also of course deliver any of the services that a Cl V org can deliver. Its bread and butter is supposed to be the Briefing Course foremost, and Power and Power Processing when someone needs it.
Ho Tai says
A Saint Hill org offers the Saint Hill Special Briefing Course, a long course of lectures which is supposed to be a very thorough course in the tech. The end product is a Class VI auditor. However, since part of Scientology's game is to create competition among orgs for the same people, I would assume that it's possible to get the SHSBC at Flag as well, though I'm not sure.
What I really, really STILL can't understand is how Miscavige can see this happening and NOT see that he's witnessing his own demise. I mean – doesn't he see it? Doesn't he see what's happening and how ultimately it will end his "reign" ? As in – no more money for him? It just baffles me. Maybe he's really that dumb?
What does he expect to gain by forcing himself out of business?
Lars asplund says
He has gone too far to be able to turn back without loosing
major face. What is his BBF going to say?
True . . . . 🙂
Well – I hope he finds that "saving face" was worth the payment he'll be making – billions of dollars, a criminal conviction, and the lives and sanity of thousands of innocent people. A deal at twice the price.

What the hell! Just walk in and do bridge cycles.

Once you even contact a reg to get infos on these services, you can't get them off your tail thereafter, stalked every other Thursday for this or that until time immemorial.

Acknowledgement = Till next Thursday.
Half-Ack = We're not done with you yet.
Comment = Ethics will get it from you then.
Lana M. says
Shit! When I was CO CMO PAC in the early 90's we rennovated ASHO. Then it was done again in the early 2000's.
Now they are doing it again?
Wow — how many times do you have to rennovate an org to realise that the MEST is not the problem in making it ideal??
More importantly, Lana, when are people going to realize that the dozens of Idle Orgs are going to undergo the same "every five year" renovations, even though most of them are barely used. I've been in the Louvre and Notre Dame and Vatican City and the Temple at Karnak. If those buildings required expensive renovations every five years, their originating cultures would have collapsed even sooner than they did.
POT, yes, Steven's Creek (massive Org) declared Idle Org twice now along with Los Gatos, both recent times. I drove through LG parking lot last year for a peek and noticed all this very nice expensive furniture piled up along side the building and knew what was up.
What I don't get, never did get, is why the fold goes along with all this. After a couple years of the IAS movement I started to question why, give $$$ for no exchange or buy your Bridge, the money all goes into the same rabbit hole. The IAS chaps didn't like me, but I didn't give a shit.
"Blind leading the blind" eh Davey boy? Overts doth speak loudly me thinks.
Check it out. This was part of a bigger "have to have before you can do" campaign. COB wrote a letter to ASHO in 2003 saying he was reworking the whole OEC, since no one had ever understood it, and no one ever COULD have understood it because the policies in certain lines were strewn all throughout the OEC. So of course COB was going to make it all better. But beyond that, the ITO was going to be moved to PAC. This was so that the FEBC trainees from around the world were going to study and do practicals right at PAC and LA Org instead of at the relative ivory tower of the HGB. This would make them better products on the FEBC. But I order for the FEBC trainees to really "get it" the LA Org and the whole PAC base would have to be even nicer than the Ideal Orgs the FEBC trainees would be returning to.
So, to sum it all up, the reason there are ZERO FEBC trainees in training from any org in the world is that COB:
1- set in the bidder data line that the OEC was fucked up (just like he did with KTL and LOC)
2- set a completely unreal Vital Target of re-renovating the ENTIRE PAC Base before the OEC/FEBC program could ever be started again. (Of course the re-release of the OEC/MS Vols will be the next bugged Vital Target once the buildings are done)
Mike Rinder says
Crusader — there is a third undoable target. The OEC had to be “recompiled” against weird hidden standards set up by Miscagive of compiling what he called “packages” of “similar” policies so the OEC could be “understood.” Of course, that has NEVER been done. He keeps shifting the goalposts on what his “packages” are. This start in around 2004 and EVERY policy and ED ever written were laid out on tables that went all the way around the Castle studio, and then tabs were put on them to signify what “packages” they were part of. This was then supposed to progress to putting them into OEC Volumes. But numerous people were assigned to the task and subsequently busted from it, including Jon Horwish, Mark and Liz Ingber, Lisa Schroer, SHelly Miscavige, Jenny Linson, Sue Wilhere, Angie Blankenship and who knows who else.
Nobody could get it “right” according to Miscavige’s arbitraries, so the OEC was abandoned as a subject. Nobody can train on the OEC as according to Miscavige “nobody can duplicate it because of how bad the compilation of the volumes is” (least of all, him).
So, there is NO OEC AT ALL. The books go out of print.
Of course it is unimportant to him. You don’t need an OEC to establish a real estate business vulture culture.
He has no doubt repeatedly told everyone that they have proven incompetent and CI to him and that he is the ONLY ONE who is going to be able to do this, but he is so overworked he cannot get to it because of all the other SPs who are preventing him from doing his job (it will be this sort of shore story he will eventually use to “move off the lines” and go into seclusion like LRH did).
For all I know, these policies may STILL be lined up all around the castle corridors.
There are some people who read this blog who were at GOld after I left in 2007 who might be able to confirm it one way or another. It will soon be coming up on a decade of this incomplete cycle of action, like so many others strewn in the wake of Mr. Command Intention himself.
sets guy says
Yes I can confirm what happened to the OEC cycle. It was layed out around the studio for several years. From there it went to Building 36 2nd floor and all of the Int ie hole people were working on it for a couple of years I guess. I didn't really look in on that after it has left the Castle. I think around 2010 there started a new rampage at the Base. Now ALL the functions of Int and Gold are going to go to LA. A huge set up is started and the whole RTRC was set up in Bandini. One of the floors is the OEC project. Huge space all ready to go but I guess no people who could actually do the job. When I left we were helping to set up duplicate lines in LA for sets so that the event construction stuff could go off the Base as well. The ONLY function that is supposed to stay at the Base is shooting films and of course getting the new and improved out-Tech onto new and improved steel plates. So everyone will be either in Cine or CST. No other functions left for the Base to perform.
And by the way for anybody who thinks people on the inside don't know what is happening just realize that Gold is getting briefed every week at staff meetings with the empty pictures of all the idle morgues. They know. Of course they are the ones responsible for stopping Scientology and they are all SPs. Of course. They work really hard to stop Scientology in its tracks. I used to work about a 110 hours a week in fact on just that. Oh that I've saved millions of dollars for the church while doing it is not a factor. Anyways they know that the stats are bogus. In my opinion they will do anything to survive there which is getting harder and harder by the day.
Mike Rinder says
Sets Guy — Thanks so much for taking the time to fill us in on later info than I had.
Of course, there is ALWAYS a new master plan that Miscavige has for how, some time in the future, things will be all “sorted out” and we will be able to BEGIN producing. Those plans ALWAYS involve new buildings, new org boards and some as yet unpublished material. He CANNOT find a why so he invents a new postulated future that requires a lot “having before doing.” He is pretty genius at this as he can keep people strung along for years and years.
So, the Gold Crew are briefed each week on the state of the Ideal Orgs (empty) and told they are “responsible” for this because Gold is supposed to provide effective dissemination materials and clearly they are failing? I am sure the Hole people are briefed the same way. “Look at what you SPs are doing. COB is doing ALL the work and his brilliant strategy is being sabotaged….”
Again, thanks for commenting.
So, the big question is: when is the House of Cards going to completely collapse?
Regular Dog says
ASHO probably got tired of having no service donation G. I. and hearing their prospects give the excuse that they already gave all their money to the Super Power building or to an Idle Org building. So ASHO probably said, "Hell, let's just tell everyone their service donation will be going to our building! Yeah! Bright idea: Since people like to donate for MEST, make up a promo piece that fits that."
The fundraising effort for PAC Base renovations (not just ASHO renovations) started TEN years ago. And since the whole base was going to be renovated, and LA Org was going to be first, all PAC base Orgs were expected to be funding the first target, LA Org.
I was at ASHO at the time. It almost silly now to look back and recall that the order which came down telling us that we would NOT be able to directly fundraise for the renos, was NOT an attempt to correctly apply policy, but was actually a make wrong. It was more like "And no, don't think you'll be able to just fundraise for it and take the easy way out, you will have to fund the renos from your FPs".
Meanwhile, an entire org had just been out together under the CLO to do nothing but fundraise for Ideal Orgs. So the order really just made the impossible even more impossible. 40 million was the fundraising target. 40 million?? At ASHO, 200k in a week was a GOOD week, and that barely covered the FP1, after percentages paid to management, as well as money garnished from the Orgs to pay for the Church's Reed Slatkin legal fees, and any refunds. What's the most we could ever set aside for renos in a week? 5k? 10? 15k would be unheard of. Further, the PAC Base Orgs spend ONE MILLION dollars per year just PUTTING ON Int Events. Anyone think the IAS pays for the annual IAS event? Hell no. That is funded directly be service donations, and the pay of Sea Org members that had to be garnished to fund the $200,000 expense of renting the shrine, and the tents, etc. That has to come out of the Orgs' FP1s as well. So it was easy to PAC Renos funding to zero. And 40 million needed to be raised? Impossible.
So this promo pice means that TEN YEARS later, there is still too much fundraising occurring for CLASS V Orgs to allow a Sea Org to jump into the fray, and make COB wrong by trying to raise PAC Reno funds from the same pockets that COB is fundraising from. While at the same time, it shows that the PAC Base EC's are being made wrong for not forwarding command intention and for making COB wrong and giving COB a problem by not having already funded the PAC renos out of their own FP's.
Because no one in their right mind puts this promo piece together without having received a lot of invalidation, coercion amd threats just prior to the fact.
Have we cooked up a deal for you… for a limited time you can actually just buy your Bridge now………………….. Jesus H Krist. Loonier by the day.

The graphs are not specific. Are those student points graphs without numbers ? Are those "clears made" graphs? Highest ever clears made what year? It does not say! Highest ever clears WHAT? Unfinished sentence. Geeze, you are right Mike. Pay for service so reno's can occur. Oh well, whatever keeps them busy and on cycles of action they will never complete!
Great article. The correspondents are in fine shape.On-policy donations here are in name only.Standard donations are taken in as org income and spent per the LRH financial plan. Staff pay, promotion, electricity and other local bills, rent and so on, including a relatively small set aside for the org's building fund.To link this to Clears and Briefing Course stats and pretend it is a legitimate LRH deal, is to display such disregard for what he stood for as to be unconscionable. It is a fund raiser once again in disguise. I ask, how can you pay staff, pay the bills of the org, promote the org services AND give heavy discounts, AND shove the actual funds straight to renos?Finance 101 and high school graduates will tell you it cannot be done.So we can conclude that this is pure squirrel finance in full flight.LRH would be horrified. To quote his words, and by doing so pretend this is legit, is what this idiot DM is all about.
Some people buy this BS but thankfully many, many folks are withdrawing support, slowly but surely. These articles, Mike, are adding to that process, so, thanks again.
Rick Mycroft says
So… How did ASHO manage to lose their Idle Org status? Did Frodo steal their dingus of power? Did they accidentally lose it down a well?
ASHO wasn't ever labeled an Ideal Org. So it didn't lose the status. The latest ASHO renovation is to put it in that category.
Mike Rinder says
POT — It’s all rather bizarre in any case.
“Ideal Orgs” are SUPPOSED to be Class V Orgs because the theory is that they are the “emanation” points for their local areas, and the introductory point to the Bridge.
What this promotion for ASHO clearly demonstrates the transformation and redefinition of terms has been fully accomplished — nowdays an “Ideal Org” is EXCLUSIVELY DETERMINED by MEST. ANd by that standard, ASHO has been declared “Ideal” twice with Miscavige himself presiding over the “ribbon cutting” of their wondrous renovations….
Youa re right — its never been an “Ideal Org” based on any policy description of what such a place would be — but neither has ANY org anywhere. But by the Miscavige definition of MEST status, he has declared it so twice already….
Kevin Pruett has been a reg at ASHO since at least the 1970s and maybe earlier. Back then they were churning out Clears and Auditors right and left and if you didn’t get to the course room early on a Saturday morning you might not get a seat. You have to wonder what goes through the mind of an old-timer like Kevin, comparing then and now while hearing the Demented Midget spouting his expansion bull crap at every event.
Aeolus, I have often wondered about Kevin doing his weekly GI line-up, going through his lists and crossing off 75% or more of the names, since "That one's declared, that one's disaffected, PTS Type H, etc." In fact, there is another category now of people that ASHO, AO and Flag simply "cannot service". They don't give an explanation of WHY they can't, but say only "We can't accept you for service." Talk about sticking a person in a mystery….
I wonder how Kevin justifies all this in his most private thoughts—-oh, I forgot he doesn't get to have any of those! COB might find out.
Aeolus: I remember being on the SHSBC in the '80s and you're right. Saturday morning, the roll call was taken in the hallway, and it was shoulder to shoulder packed down one side, up the other and on both side of the intersecting hall. I counted one day and there were 273 people at roll call on Saturday morning. Alas, those days are long, long gone.
I too remember roll call held out in the hall being on day lines in the 80s. There were 100 students for the 9:00am roll call, another hundred at the 1:00pm roll call and another 100 students at the 3:45pm roll call. Then foundation roll call had twice as many students.
Regular Dog says
Mike, Your translation of the promo is perfect.
Hmmm…SHSBC Student points on 2 year affluence. No mention on the graph what range the points are in. Seeing that most everyone has been working on the Basics since 2007, it wouldn’t take many students to actually be on the BC to get it into an Affluence.
The stat most likely went from 0 to 20 ₧ ↑. Somebody drew 2 diagrams @ 10 points each. Extreme affluence indeed.
If it has been in Non-Existence for 2 years (probably the case), then they can get one spike, like 2 people starting on the course, and call it a "2 year affluence trend".
This kind of data is also useful for real stat analysis – they probably took the period of the stat as the reference point that has been totally flat (2 years) which translates into "The SHSBC Student Points crashed 2 years ago and didn't have as much as a single uptick until now".
There must be a date conincidence. I wonder what amazing breakthrough was released by DM 2 years ago that caused the stat to crash?
John P. says
The “highest ever clears” graph looks pretty impressive until you realize the numbers behind it are probably two clears made in 2011 and five made in 2012. I don’t know if that’s exactly accurate, but I seem to recall the Nashville CC bragging about six clears made since they opened in 2009. Not exactly packin’ them in.
Also, I seem to recall from reading a price list a while ago that you get a 45% discount (or thereabouts) if you buy a big enough slug of intensives up front, and that this has always been the case — so what sounds like a great deal probably is like one of those sleazy oriental rug merchants where the “going out of business sale” sign is yellowed with age because it’s been hanging in the windows for so many years.
