A Special Correspondent just sent me these photos of the Las Vegas “ideal” org.
These were taken on Saturday evening at 7:10, just as the sun was setting.
One car in the huge parking lot.
The “org” closed.
Nothing could be more ideal than this — doing exactly what ideal orgs are designed to do. Be MEST.
David Cooke says
O ye of little faith! These photos prove the ability of an OT, most likely the COB Himself, to mock up parking spaces. The space is so clean, so calm – except for that one counter-intentioned driver, whose number will have been taken by the MAA.
Smokey says
I should note that although both are Ideal Orgs neither one has it’s own parking lot so it would just be photos from the outside. If that’s helpful.
Mike Rinder says
If you can get shots that show the entrance/reception and possibly Div 6 spaces, that would be useful.
Smokey says
Serious question; what day of the week and what time are historically the busiest for an Org? I live near one and short drive to another and would be willing to photograph them.
Mike Rinder says
Thanks Smokey. I think Wednesday evening would be a good bet. They try and pile as many people in as possible to finish before Thursday at 2. Around 7pm would be a good time. Course start then. PC’s should be there to go in session in the evening. It should be the busiest time of the week.
Look forward to the photos. jpeg or png are best.

Ah, my home org. Glad to see it’s doing so well

Sorry for derrailing, but it should just be made known, that the Super Power building is a beautiful piece of MEST but E-M-P-T-Y as well!
Graduations are packed and the food they offer is marvelous and the flower decorations and ice sculptures are really awsome – BUT one should know, that staff who attend HAVE TO wear casual… No uniforms allowed! Why… ? 😉
And be assured, that there are OT’s who have already finished their SUPERPOWER R/D who are just pissed off…
To quote the becoming father Tommy Davis: “They are angry! REALLY ANGRY!!!”
[All the best for you, your wife and your baby!]
Considering that the “Bright Think R/D” and the Perception R/D” are part of SUPERPOWER, it is just amazing and stunning to hear a recent completion tell how all the perceptions are handled now – BUT THAT THE PERCEPTION OF TRUTH IS NOT A VALID PERCEPTION, AS IT IS NOT ON THE LIST!!! Ohh well… there is a lot of “fun” rolling down the street…
Wasn’t there s/t called “The Perception Of Truth”…? Anyhow -per the “False Data R/D” a person is prone to false data after having had a severe loss…
Well, enough donors had given so much, that it’s close to a “severe loss” – of course they will swallow just about everything thereafter as pure gospel.
But in the end truth WILL will pervail – even all the OT VIII’s little secrets they hide from their peers (or are trying to hide… like failing health, 3rd partying, financial irregularities, 2D troubles etc. etc.). All that WILL find their way – RESULTING IN A HUGE RELIEF. THE NICE TIMES ARE ABOUT TO COME!
As LRH once said: “There will be a time, when you’ll be on your own – without me and without Scientology.” That was many many moons back – when he still had his “insights” and lighter moments. Ohh well…
Just 2 cents
Old School says
Does the LV Org have Slots in the reception area? Could make some extra cash for TP & the like…
Joe Pendleton says
Y’all do understand that if long time Scientologists didn’t currently have almost complete perception shutoff and weren’t truly at apathy on the tone scale, they might have noticed that plain looking orgs in the 70s were packed and that the beautiful orgs now are empty ……. but as the saying goes “if cows could fly, we’d all be in the umbrella business.”
maven says
A friend of mine popped into Joburg Org at lunch time Sunday recently (which I’m told is the busiest day) and found 15 cars in the parking lot, seven people in the cafeteria of which two were public (these two of course being the OTC stalwarts – one aiming to get onto 8 soon, and the other the ED’s wife). I took specific note of this because the last few times I went on course on a Saturday there were 4, 7 and 11 people on course respectively (of which several were staff and SO). I was told it was so low because Sunday is THE day people go on course and OTs en mass drag themselves in to be a stat. Well it seems that post-GAT2 even abysmal stats have crashed almost as far as it is humanly possible to go. Of course, these South African stats still sound wonderful compared to other ideal orgs. No doubt there were some people in session – but as we all know these were most unlikely to be South Africans but foreigners taking advantage of the cheap(er) auditing rates.
Joe Pendleton says
What ‘s the outpoint? As far as I’m concerned, an empty parking lot AND an empty org IS ideal!
Martin Padfield says
Maybe it’s Dave’s car. He likes a trip to Vegas so I’ve heard.
SILVIA says
If the Orgs were inundated with tremendous flow of people because of the unprecedented expansion you would change the hygiene time so the public could be served, but ONLY if you really care for someone otherwise just keep collecting money and building more idle empty ones.
1984 says
Of course, it is “a nice parking lot”. It’s “IDEAL”.
It would be full, except that all the cars that came to the clearing event got cleared (and they are waiting for the next batch to be cleared out).
Katniss Everdeen says
90% plus of the OT VIII success stories involve empty parking stalls. I guess this is what happens when the OT VIII’s all blow / get declared and start postulating empty parking stalls in the Org that they declared bankruptcy for.

THIS MAKES MY DAY!! Just a thought: This is a huge “house of cards”, once it reaches the breaking point, IT is going to FALL HARD….. REAL HARD!! You know this is Las Vegas, this isn’t in an underpopulated area………Why the EMPTY MORGUE

CAPTAIN DAVID MsCavige (SLAPPY MCSAVAGE) as I like to refer to him, WHAT’s your excuse????

Local Class V org … same deal, Sat/Sun they close at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM by the time they lock up completely and everybody is out of there unless an event is taking place.
Tony DePhillips says
No time to slack off!! We’ve got a planet to Clear!!
Tony DePhillips says
You would think that at an Ideal Org even if closed, that there would be hundreds of people on course and planning for expansion right? I would think that some of these people would hang out for awhile after closing.
That place looks like a friggin ghost town. All it needs is a tumble weed blowing through the parking lot.
MJ says
Hey, hey Dave, I know these lyrics will piss you off but I care about your soul bro.
“Price Tag” [Jessie J]
Seems like everybody’s got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night
When the sale comes first
And the truth comes second.
Just stop for a minute and smile
Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious?
Got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can’t even have a good time
[Pre-chorus:]
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right
Can you feel that (yeah)
We’re paying with love tonight?
[Chorus:]
It’s not about the money, money, money
We don’t need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag
Ain’t about the (uh) cha-ching cha-ching
Ain’t about the (yeah) ba-bling ba-bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag (OK)
We need to take it back in time,
When music made us all unite!
And it wasn’t low blows and video hoes,
Am I the only one getting tired?
Why is everybody so obsessed?
Money can’t buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now?
Guarantee we’ll be feeling alright
Yeah yeah
Well, keep the price tag
And take the cash back
Just give me six strings and a half stack
And you can, can keep the cars
Leave me the garage
And all I, yes all I need
Are keys and guitars
And guess what? In 30 seconds
I’m leaving to Mars
Yeah we leaping across
These undefeatable odds
It’s like this man
You can’t put a price on a life
We do this for the love
So we fight and sacrifice
Every night
So we ain’t gonna stumble and fall
Never
Waiting to see or send a sign of defeat
Uh uh
So we gonna keep everyone
Moving their feet
So bring back the beat
And then everyone sing
It’s not about the money
Yeah, yeah
Oh-oh
Forget about the price tag, yeah
Cindy P says
The LV org should have thought out their building purchase a bit more carefully. If they were close to a sporting or concert venue, they could be renting out their parking spaces like the Denver Org.
sierramark says
Too bad there are no sports venues around.. the could sell parking spaces like they do in Denver.
Maybe we should organize an event and take a shot of the parking lots on the same day/time in each Ideal org. Make a montage. Send it with a Starbucks coupon as a wake up call package to those who support this nonsense.

What is the logic of closing down on the weekends by 6 pm?
aren’t they supposed to be welcoming in the eager hoards for lots and lots of their cool new training techniques?
Mreppen says
Actually from my experience being in Orange County from 1991-97 as a Universe Corps Auditor it was standard practice for CL V orgs to close Saturdays and Sundays at 6 pm, so the staff could take of their hygienic needs. But, still……
Mike Rinder says
Yes, you are right about this.
I will see if our Special Correspondent can plan another trip out to the boonies and take a photo of the parking lot during the day.
Anyone want to place bets on how many cars will be in the lot?
I am sure it will look just like the others we have seen — Phoenix and Denver.
Maybe we should start an Ideal Org parking lot photo library.
I know there are readers of this blog in a lot of the cities where these “ideal” orgs exist. And a shot of the parking lots with time noted may be interesting. Of course, it doesn’t apply to NY, DC, London or various other big city locations but it would be interesting to see some of the others. Cincinnati and St Paul, “Cambridge” and Nashville, Pordenone and Pretoria etc etc
But even if they do close at 6 on Saturday, surely if this was a bustling, flourishing org, there would still be people around?
Bela says
I would also like to add that it does not apply if the org is located next to a sports venue during the time of a sporting event …see Tony O blog of May 20, 2014
threefeetback says
Next, there will be links to live streaming street cams of the orgs and a few hacked video feeds from Dave’s offices and tanning bed on the right hand column of the blog.

I’ll guess 3-4 cars total, one of them being the photographer’s.
Robert Almblad says
Mike,
For years I used the parking lot “count” at the Sandcastle where the Advanced courses are delivered in Clearwater to determine the health of Scientology. I did this because this is the ONLY place on earth to get the last part of the Bridge, so it’s a good gauge for how well the Church is doing.
In 2005, the parking lot was pretty full but I could still park 99% of the time. But, earlier in the 1990’s I seldom got to park in the lot, it was plumb full, and cars lined up and down the street and I had to park in the street next to the library..
Look at Google Maps for last 7 years 2007 to 2014. Today the parking lot for the top of the Ideal Hamster Wheel Bridge is a ghost town for sure. Lots of empty spaces. All the Co$ money has been coming from dono’s. Money does not come from delivering services. Certainly not training. LRH would be so pissed if he knew this.
Google maps can tell no lies… it’s just the facts mam!

Cindy says
Mike to be fair to LV Org and others, the correspondents should take pics during their operating hrs.
I remember when LV went Ideal, they brought in all SO members to staff it because there weren’t enough locals joining staff. BUT after 2 1/2 years, their contracts were up, and not many renewed, and the SO moved out and on to the next Ideal Org, making staff count very low. It is a shell game played with roving SO members.
Mike Rinder says
That’s true Cindy. And I have asked that this be done.
I would like to get pix of a bunch of ideal orgs.
Can you do Ingelwood? Or one of the others in LA? (LA org is sort of masked by the other orgs, Pasadena doesnt have a parking lot and I don’t think Orange County does either?)
Cindy says
One thing most don’t know about is that there was an OT VII who was married to the CS at the Org, Steve, who died of cancer because she refused to go see a doctor for her condition and he wouldn’t insist she see a doctor even though it had gotten to where she couldn’t even get into a car, could hardly walk, was in pain and bedridden. A CS knows that Ron says to get a physical check up done by a doctor if the pc is having physical problems that interfere with getting auditing. This CS and husband didn’t help get his wife to a doctor until the very end and his wife, on OT VII, died as a result.
Another LV public committed suicide when his business wasn’t doing well. He had been in to the org on a couple of occasions to see the Ethics Officer, which was a public person OTC member because they didn’t have a posted MAA. But he wasn’t on lines much when he shot himself. I can’t help but think had the org followed up with him and helped him with ethics and free ARCX sessions, he might have been saved too.
And in the LV field, another OTC member, OT VIII, died in a car crash within a year of completing OT VIII.
And we all know of the LV Staff Member who conspired with a loony guy to kill a LV police officer, was arrested and did jail time for that.
These are not good stats for Las Vegas Org.
John P. Capitalist says
Mike, just a thought in follow up to your comment:
To have the most effect on those still in, to help them see that things are failing all over, not just at their org, it would be useful to suggest that where your sources have a choice to take pictures, they do so at a time where “everybody knows” it’s historically the busiest time of the week. So if “everyone knows” that Tuesday nights are historically the busiest times on course, then people should take pictures of empty parking lots on Tuesday at 7:30. If it’s possible to take pictures of all parking lots, in case the staff parks in the back like they are supposed to do at retail stores, then they should do so.
My first reaction when I read the first sentence, that this was at 7;30 on a Saturday night, was that the data point was not terribly useful because most public who have any kind of actual life are going to be somewhere else with friends or family instead of at the org, even if those same people are clogging up the course rooms on a weeknight. So if an opponent of the evils of corporate Scientology like me has such a ready “dead agent” thought for the photo, any of the die-hard Kool-Aid drinkers will certainly be the same way.
On the other hand, if you and/or Izhar P’s Ideal Orgs site were able to get a consistent set of photos all taken on the busiest night of the week showing empty parking lots and course rooms, it becomes much harder to ‘dead agent’ the data. It’s a small detail but it could help wake some people up if they can’t discount the evidence as easily.
We do this all the time at Global Capitalism HQ: when we’re looking at traffic and activity levels at retail stores or restaurants we’re thinking of investing in, we try to collect data at the same time at each location we’re measuring, and trying to understand whether we’re at the busiest time of the week, slowest time of the week, and anything else. We also take into account the effects of weather and for big sports events (we’re not walking malls during the Super Bowl, for instance). It’s really important to have consistent data.
Mike Rinder says
JPC — Understood and I have asked for some new shots of LV during the week.
Of course, in an ideal world, there would be correspondents everywhere that could take shots at a consistent time. But alas, the regimented life of the Sea Org (or even a public) member seems to be a rather unsavory thought to readers of this blog, so the likelihood of any well organized effort is pretty slim… 🙂
But we will see what we can do given the limitations imposed.
I sure would like to have a “Shot Your Local Ideal Org” day where everyone goes and takes a shot at the same time on the same day all over the world.
It could be like those shots the church does for events getting poeople to wave for the camera holding WTH or something 🙂
Chris Mann says
I was in Nashville a few weeks ago on a Tuesday and drove through the org parking lot right at 5 pm. There were @ 15- 20 cars. I think staff park in the back and public park along side the org by the doors. There were plenty of spaces close to the org. I didn’t care enough to film or take pics.
I think it has some value in that people can see the truth, but if we do it it should be done correctly. Good pics, documented time. Time, place, form, event etc.
